In reading file #9, the issue of stones being altered is addressed. I'm wondering if more information can be added addressing stones that have been placed in settings. For instance, if I run across a gemstone I really like but it is mounted on a silver background as a pendant, how does that affect its energy? You mention that some will not work with a stone that is altered in any way. I don't know if I can remove the stones from their setting or not. What is the general opinion out there? The one I have in mind is a lapis lazuli oval set in an oval silver setting.
