She outright snitches them off of surfaces that are low enough for her to reach. All I do is make sure it is not small enough for her to choke on. If it is I find her a like crystal (i.e. a smokey quartz if that was what she picked up) in a larger non-chokable size. She will actually take the crystals out of the water bowl. Stuffing her nose in up to an inch of water to get one out if she feels like chewing on the crystal. I have not doubt that the crystals aided in her healing from pneumonia the she had contracted postoperative from the shelter we adopted her from. (she was diagnosed 5 days after we brought her home when we had to take her to the puppy ER) It took us a month of antibiotics, coupaging, crystal and reiki healing work and of course lots of love to nurse her through that ordeal. Had we not been the ones to adopt her though, my husband and I have not doubt that she would not be alive today. She is a joy. Guest guest
I am new to using stones and crytals but not to my love for rocks of any kind. I was the little girl sitting in the driveway looking for fossils, metamorhic, sentimentary, etc. I now have found a use for many of the rocks I've kept over the years since first grade. So we are talking some 40 years or so. LOL I now have a new found love for my rocks and hidden treasures. I am so excited. I understand that one can keep your stones in the open or in closed boxes, But then how often do you need to cleanse or recharge them? Do you just display them in the sunny windows only? How often would you need to soak them in salt water? Would it interfere with the energy, if I put tape on them for identifcation purposes?( I am a little rusty LOL) I am afraid if I take them out of their labelled container of those from rock collection divided containers, I would forget who they are and return them back. I suppose practice their ID's is good to do for us beginners. LOL I have a few that are glued on poster board type paper in a rock collection with the names on the poster board. I hestitate to pull them off of it. Will this interfere with it's energy? rock hound forever, Linda
Guest guest
you can put them in sea salt for 48 hrs, you can put a citrine crystal with them, the citrine will clelanse them and charged them. yes the sun is good, othr than the amethyst and rose quartz their colors can fade with too much sun. some people smudge them, some do fancy cleansing with rose petals and tea. some run them in cool waters some people use their breath. There are many ways it can be done. you just need to find out which one works for you. Guest guest
Thank You Peggy. I also am a beginner with Reiki and I feel like a sponge soaking in all the new info. I feel this is a part of me now. I just learned through someone who hears angels and does angel readings that I have the potential or am a animal communicator. This is supposed to be part of my path too. Can I use crystals with dogs and cats and other animals? I showed my 11 month old sheltie my large cloudy white quartz and she tried to bite and chew it. I thought she would at least lick it. She loves Reiki and seems to either give it to me or she triggers it when on my lap. I am so excited that I have been led to Reiki and finally to my crystals and to have a use for my rocks and crystals instead of leaving them all boexed up in the basement collecting dust. Guest guest
Hi Linda-- I'd like to invite you to join our Animal Communication list. There are already several of us who are on both lists. Anyone else who is interested is of course welcome to. Send an e-mail to this address to request to join. animalcommunication- I always show my new rocks to my dogs and let them have a good sniff. Sometimes they want to give them the taste test too. And they are just sure that some of my bigger orbs are really balls for them to play with! --Martha Linda Peterson <lmsroka Thank You Peggy. Guest guest
Linda, I keep all my darling crystals out in dishes on my table, some on shrines some even on my bed- a few of them get to " sleep " in my bed lol.. To me they are living beings who don't like being hidden in boxes in the dark ( for any lenght of time). Some crystals can't take much sunlight- like ameythst. Salt damges them and kills them, so avoid salt.if you can dissolve the glue safely I would try and then put your crystals in pretty dishes, plates or on little cushions etc. On 1/22/08, Linda <lmsroka wrote: > > I am new to using stones and crytals but not to my love > for rocks of any kind. They lie on the crystals and also on the regular river rock the smooth round ones I used for massage. Also one of them loves to have the stones placed down his spine and will lie really still for about 5-7 min. Guest guest
Crystals can be great with animals - all my dogs have loved them. They'll let you know what ones they like as your girl did :-) My last girl used to sometimes pick one up and carry it around for a wee while, then put it down. A good starter book is Crystal Healing for Animals by Martin Scott and Gael Mariani. Enjoy! And congrats on your communication skills, that's something I hope to do. Have you joined the AC lists yet? Guest guest
My kitty Batman loves me to rub Hemetite on his head when it's hot. It pulls the heat away. My kitty Masquerade prefers Amazonite. He's skittish and it appears to calm him. My kitty Squiggles loves them all. She rubs on any of them. They all will lay on them. When an upsetting event happens I will leave them on the floor for them. I will check out the book you recommend. I have my Mezolite Spray in a pair of hands on an end table with a chunk of Blue Celestite. I have a salt lamp on the other end table and my Selenite piece in a lighted base that displays all the colors from the light while spinning slowly. Very pretty. I have a big geode on floor and a huge Apophyllite piece on the floor under the salt lamp. I can feel the energy flow. The remainder is mostly upstairs on the floor in a circle... til a kitty comes along and messes it up! haha!
