Another newbie question - kyanite and reiki

Ok, so here I am with my new crystals (selenite, kyanite, hematite,

snowflake obsidian and blue goldstone) and trying to learn what to do

with them, and how to do it. I carried around the snowflake obsidian

for a couple of days and I have to admit that I truly love it's

feel. It's a warm stone and the samples I have are polished and

comfortable.

So I thought I'd venture forward. I took my selenite wand and

brushed my fingers off the end of it twice as was suggested in some

of my reading material and didn't hear any guides talking to me. So

I held it for a while (it has a very nice feel) and wondered how it

would help with the chakras. So I pointed it in the center of my

forehead, but then remembered I have the kyanite blades.

So I took out the blades and chose two smaller ones and put one on my

3rd eye and held one in my hands, kind of, as I did the crown

position with reiki. While I didn't notice a difference in the

feeling of the crown position, the kyanite blade on my 3rd eye was

getting very cold.

I tried reiki over it, but the cold intesified. I had to remove the

blade and do reiki on the position. You know how a brain freeze

feels from drinking a slushy too fast? It was that feeling in my

forehead where my 3rd eye is.

I don't think that was how it was supposed to happen :( So I

wondered if maybe I needed to clear them first but they aren't

supposed to need to be cleared because they don't take on negative

energy.

So I'm not sure what I've learned other than maybe that isn't the

best stone for that spot?? I was going to try it on my throat next,

but the situation on the forehead had to be resolved first, then I

was done with the session.
