Guest guest
Hiyas everyone, lol Besides collecting a ton of minerals, it seems that I also collect quite a few books on healing with them. Only two of the books that I have deal exclusively with the laying on of stones and different patterns. " Laying on of Stones " D.J. Conway and Melody's " Love is in the Earth: Laying on of Stones " . Also " The Crystal Bible " has some layouts as well.... There are a couple of things that I'd like to have opinions on. 1. What are you thoughts on these two books? 2. Are there any other books or sources that you'd recommend for the laying on of crystal/stones? 3. Besides the use of their layouts, I am curious about substituting one crystal for another because I don't have that (or enough of) to make up for the one that's missing. On #3. my thought is somewhat based on intuition and also part related to the chakra and/or Aura/colour that I'm working with, but also knowing enough about the stones relationship to the ailment or purpose that I'd be using it for. What are your opinions? Thanks, take care, hugs, namaste, MP, Ah'o, Lynn

What are you thoughts on these two books? ~~ I do not have DJ's book. Melody's book has some very complex layouts which of course would be quite difficult to set up for doing on one's self. Complex does not make it better, it just makes it complex. I am not saying they don't work, just saying you can get every bit as much healing benefit out of a more simplified layout. ~~2. Are there any other books or sources that you'd recommend for the laying on of crystal/stones? ~~ YOUR INTUITION is always the best tool. ~~3. Besides the use of their layouts, I am curious about substituting one crystal for another because I don't have that (or enough of) to make up for the one that's missing.~~ If you look in Melody's index in the encyclopedia for an ailment, you will usually find at least ten page listings (different stones) per ailment that can assist with the healing on some level of said ailment. One is not just limited to one crystal for anything. A good standard crystal to use if *missing* something is clear quartz and also selenite. Both are easy to come by and usually very reasonably priced. ~~On #3. my thought is somewhat based on intuition and also part related to the chakra and/or Aura/colour that I'm working with, but also knowing enough about the stones relationship to the ailment or purpose that I'd be using it for. What are your opinions?~~ Again using your intuition and letting the stones call to you during a healing session. When I work on healing myself or others, after everything is set up, I get still for a moment or 2 and tune into the crystal energies around me and ask for volunteers. There are a couple of standard pieces I will have in various locations such as rose quartz (self love/universal love) on the heart chakra, clear quartz at the crown (connecting to the higher powers), smokey quartz (grounding) at the feet and sometimes a selenite wand laying up the sternum (to help align the chakras). Blessings to your day all. ReNau " Codail, suaimhnigh i nge/aga nadragain " " Sleep, rest in the arms of the Dragon " **************Start the year off right.
