Another newbie question - kyanite and reiki

Hi-

I'm also a newbie to this group but have been a Reiki

Master/practitioner myself for 10 yrs and continuously practicing with

crystals for about 3yrs or so.

Maybe you should try doing a treatment on yourself first before using

the crystals. This seems to work well for me. Also, perhaps either the

stone is too big for you to first try or maybe it's just not the right

kyanite. I make sure that before I buy any stones, I hold them for a

while to see what vibes I get, if any. This helps me to make the right

choice for me. You can also trying a grounding stone with it like

hematite, so it doesn't whack you so hard.....Hope this is

helpful...Again, I'm far from an expert, but these tips work for me.

Good luck!

I was actually trying a self-healing with the crystals, but it makes

sense to do one without first, then try with.

I received 7 blades in a set, so I thought they were supposed to be

used on all the chakra points, but that was a big assumption on my

part. I could try holding each of the 7 to see if they have different

feels to them.

But I receive an offline message that was extremely informative. I'm

paraphrasing, but some of the suggestions included starting out with a

different stone because the kyanite can be a powerful vibration, and I

wasn't grounded properly. Maybe use hematite to ground (as you

suggested) as well as the snowflake obsidian in conjuction with the

kyanite to disseminate/ground some of that energy. And I think those

are fine suggestions because I'm in no hurry for that kyanite anytime

soon, especially by itself. There was a dull thud in my head for a

couple of days!!

One question, though - the hematite stones I have a tiny, the largest

probably about an inch by half an inch. Does size matter if I'm trying

to use it to ground me? And does it always go under the feet or under

the root chakra?

I'm sorry to come here so clueless. I'm working my way through my

first book and I appreciate everyone's patience with me while I work my

way through.

The size you have should be fine. As far as where it goes, I've read

that as long as it is on your person, then you will be grounded fine.

I don't think that sitting on a stone would be very comfortable lol.

This web page says that you hold the color stone of the chakra that

you want to concentrate on.

Either way would work. Just this way is better than a rock in your bum.

~chuckling~ I don't think the intent was to actually sit on the crystal. If

in a seated position on the floor with legs crossed, a crystal could be place

either at the base of the tailbone behind you or between you legs in front

of you. One in each spot is also a way to do it. If in a laying down position

it can be placed over the root chakra or on the floor/bed (wherever one

chooses to lay) and then place at the feet, touching the heals if desired but

it

isn't absolutely necessary.

Blessings to your day all.

I was hoping that they wouldn't sit on it lol. But it does paint quite

a colorful picture. Your way is really good. I will have to remember

that.

Thanks for the input.

Thank you Rik and Renau for further explaining to me. In my recent

trip to the store I got a big hematite stone to put under/by my feet.

I was wondering if they had to be touching or not. I appreciate the

detailed information.
