Hello everyone,

I have a ton of crystals, some single but many multiple and do

not know how to go about storing and displaying them.

I used to have a shelf with glass but not anymore.

How do you go about it?

I would like to hear as many suggestions as possible.

Thanks,

Hi Maria,

I store the crystals that I'm not currently working with in taffy boxes

arranged by elemental energy in a shelf in my practice space. I like the

taffy boxes because they're sturdy and stack nicely.

I have an array that I leave out to work with on my windowsill at my

practice space. I have some of the larger crystals spread around in areas

of my house and I have an altar in my bedroom on which I keep my crystals

for sleep time and the current pocket stones that I'm working with.

But most of them I keep " away " when I'm not using them.

I have a pottery bowl that my mothers best friend made that I keep

mine in and I keep this in the display part of my china cabinet. I

have a small alter set up beside the bowl and I place the crystals

that I am using at the time on the alter. I have a small pouch that I

carry my special stones in so I can take them with me everywhere. In

my kitchen next to my plants I have a crystal bowl my aunt left me

when she past on to the next life that I place any crystals and stones

in if I need to cleanse them or charge them.

have you cleansed them and charged them so that they can heal those who go near

them? Place a citrine with them and they will cleanse and charge them without

going through a lot to do it other ways. Just lay them so that they look nice,

they will do the rest! Blessings, Cathy K

~Chuckling~ for me pretty much any flat surface will do and even then it

doesn't need to be flat!!! LOL There are crystals on all dress tops and

furniture with a hard flat top (buffet, desk, mantle shelves, curio shelves,

cornice

boards, window sills, etc.) to it. I also have a tree stump (I kid you knot)

in my meditation room that I was originally using as a plant stand but now as

an earth element in the MR holds my Dragon water fountain and many crystals.

I have a tiered stand that has 4 granite shelve, I also have two wooden wine

racks (I am using them as pedestals) that I put smaller crystals in the

slots that would normally hold wine bottles and have a thick plate of glass

between them that holds most of my spheres and eggs. Candle stick holders and

napkin rings make great display stand for spheres and eggs or other roundish

crystals/stones. I have some displayed in a curio cabinet but I have found most

of my crystals prefer not to be smothered, so don't like being in glass cases.

I have a multimedia stand in the MR that holds the CDs of music I listen to

in there but then all five shelves have crystals on them. With larger pieces

the floor is always a good option too ;-)

Blessings to your eve all.

I am curious as to why? The crystals that have come to be in my care have

emphatically told me they do not want to be boxed, caged or otherwise cut off

from the other crystals and open air. Maybe yours are different, thus my

inquiry as to why you put them *away* when not using them.

OH YEA~~~ I forgot about bowls full of crystals!! (glass, pottery, brass and

all manner of interestingly shaped dishes). The Dragon fountain while it

does have crystals in it, since it is a water dragon, it requested shells as

well.. Fountains and crystals are such a lovely pairing, aren't they??

Hi reNau,

I do crystal healing work. I put the ones that I'm not using " away " so that

their energy is contained. They like the candy boxes, and they get rotated

frequently. I can't have them all out or I get too jacked up on the

combined energy to feel anything and I want my clients to have only specific

energies directed at them. By tucking the unusued crystals into their box,

both they and I know that their energies are to rest at this time.

Cathy,

Do you need to do anything with the citrine to strengthen the

Remember that I am a newbie, but I was wondering, with crystals all

having such different properties, and this one needing clearing and

that one not taking on negative energy, they still like to be

together? Or do they prefer to be grouped in similar traits? I had no

idea that they had a preference about where to be in life, so mine are

safely tucked away in soft bags in a container. But I will look for a

place that they might enjoy to sit until I figure out how to use them :)

I am a newbie to, so how do the crystals/stones tell where they like to be

etc... how do they speak to you?

I want to hear my crystals/stones speak to me. Never heard of this before.

Thanks

My angelite and celestite are on my bed stand next to me when I sleep ( by my

Virgin Mary ), my others ( quartz, tigers eye and amethyst and citrine) are near

the 'money ' corner of my house right by my St. Expedite statue ( the money

Saint ). Sardonyx is in each of the 4 cornors of my house ( on the window sills

). The others, I keep on or near my personal 'altar' .

put them where you can enjoy them and obtrain their energy as you learn. They

will help you. put a citrine with them if you can and/or smoky quartz, it will

help the stones by cleansing and charging them even more. Cathy K

Rachel,

How is the Crystal Feng Shui working? (certainly sounds attractive) It

sounds that you are trying to attract money, is this manifesting in

your life?

So, this is what I have done with all my crystals:

I bought numerous tea light glass containers and also bigger ones

for the bigger stones.

I filled the little cups with the rocks. I mixed them by color or

by type; for example, the different jades are in a bigger

container and so are my 3 color tiger eyes, and son on, and my

rhodocrosite and the lepidolite are in another. I labeled them

and put the labels under the glass container.

The single stones, that are mostly raw and bigger, I put in

individual little boxes with their labels more apparent.

Then I put them all in 3 shelves, as to display them.

They look so darn beautiful; I keep staring at them as much as I

can.

I also put all the very little pieces in a crystal bowl that I

have on my desk near my computer, and, getting someone's idea,

every so often I put my hand in and play with them. It is like

playing with a big bad of dried beans. (reminds me of the film

Amelie)

Also, since I had a ton of agate of different colors, I made 3

containers and put one on the table at the entrance of the house,

one is sitting on my desk as well, and the other on my son's

desk.

Soon, I will invite some of them to go to bed with me! Lol

Now, regarding cleaning them: I put one citrine in each little

container. Do I need to do more?

Thanks everyone for the loveliest ideas.

Do you have more suggestions?

Blessings,

Maria

I've written before about my crystal storage. I have quite a few that

are out on display or on " altars' as grids etc. in my front room and

throughout my house. Recently I've been keeping a lot of stones in

blown plastic apple containers from Costco. These are very convenient .

I've got a number of my stones in a set of relish trays four crystal

dishes set in a silver plated rack , I've got stones and crystals in a

lot of plastic food storage containers. Most of these I stack but

without the lids. Some are in in compartmented trays that were

actually designed for stones. I have some stones in abalone and

scallop shells Many of the really small stones are in covered bead

boxes, I have a large padded cloth lined jewelry tray with

compartments which is the home of most of my quartz crystals. I like to

keep my crystals in the open but in a house with active young cats the

smaller and more fragile ones need some protection. I also have a

number of trays, shallow bowls and platters where i keep some of my

stones

A lot of my stones and crystals came in or with pouches and some came in

boxes the Platonic solids set has a very nice wooden box but I prefer to

have them out where I can see them and they feel happier to me that

way. I don't keep very many in closed or opaque containers. Some are in

Freor Rocher candy boxes

Hi! I keep mine all togehter in a handmade cloth or fabric.

Peruvian Indians call it a Mesa. As a 'whole' keeping them together,

the energy all seems to magnify and work with eachother. It's

amazing!!!!!
