Guest guest
Hi, everyone. I'm in the US, in Ohio. On my path to become more attuned with my animals (communication), I learned that I could be attuned to reiki. After more investigation, I was excited to take my first reiki class in December 07 and am learning so many things by leaps and bounds. In a search for a reiki dvd on ebay, I accidently brought up a ton of gemstones/crystals and was attracted to quite a few. So much so that I bought the following and am now trying to figure out what the heck to do with them: selenite wand (absolutely fabulous!!) 7 raw kyanite blades hematite polished rounded stones with the reiki symbols gold leafed snowflake obsidian blue goldstone I look forward to figuring out what to do with these beautiful stones!! jayne

Guest guest
I am also from Cincinnati, OH and I received my level 1 Reiki attunement in 2005. What is the best way to continue my Reiki studies? The reiki master who attuned me is having some " issues " and lost her path somewhat and is attempting to come back, but I don't know how or if she is going to continue to teach me. Any advice/suggestions are appreciated. Blessings, Bobbi **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
if your teacher has lost her path if you feel it would help this could be a way to help her come back .. but if not than i would find somebody else who practices Reiki, to take you further.. often if theres a metaphysical shop near you, you can call them for somebody they would suggest. best of luck.. candace moonphoenix1669 wrote: I am also from Cincinnati, OH and I received my level 1 Reiki attunement in 2005. Guest guest
Hello group. Hi Jayne, I'm from Cleveland OH. I've been studying and practicing the ancient Chinese healing art chi gung (qigong), which is based on traditional Chinese medicine. Although I don't really know too much about reiki, I do know that the nadis are very similar to the Chinese energy system and that most of the chakras are in the same spot as the accupoints. This has made it much easier for me to understand reiki practitioners when they talk about what they do. I've also discovered just how useful crystal healing can be to any energy healing practices. Unfortunately, I've had some bad experiences with reiki practitioners in the past becasue their attitudes and oppinions of my knowlege and experience, as if it doesn't count. They also seem to think that reiki is the only energy healing system that actually works. Because of this, I was begining to think that all reiki practitioners were very lost souls who lost touch with reality. I've been looking for people in the greater Cleveland area, as well as online, whom I can share experiences with. Although I haven't had much luck, I'm hoping to make a fresh start here and be able to enjoy sharing with anybody who practices energy healing, no matter what system or where it comes from. I look forward to fresh ideas and knowlege. Take care Ray , moonphoenix1669 wrote: > > > Thanks Candace.? My partner and I have both felt that we need to stay to help her back.? Guest guest
Hi Ray, I am sorry that you have had bad experiences with reiki practitioners but we are not all like that. As a matter of fact the ones that I have met are very humble, grounded people with a gift for healing and love what they do. I myself finally received my masters 1 week ago and couldn't imagine not living a life of helping others as well as myself. As reiki is a universal energy and not from the healer it is very irresponsible of any practitioner to be arrogant about what they do as they are only the tool for channeling the energy and not the provider of it. It is very wrong of any energy healer or any healer of any kind to discount another persons work and I find it disturbing that someone in our field would be that way towards you. Guest guest
Ray, thank you for the nice welcome. I'm in Springfield, about 3.5 - 4 hours away from you. I learned about reiki 20 years ago, but thought it was a development of a natural talent like psychic work and learned a few months ago that a person could become attuned to it without any " natural " healing ability. I became newly attuned a month and a half ago, so am very new to it. And I incorporate many modalities when I'm considering the best way to help an animal heal (my dogs led me down this path). I'm starting into my busy season at work, but might be up that way in the summer to visit my friend in Middlefield (east of cleveland). And we're usually there in mid December for the big dog show. jayne
Guest guest
Hi Rawy, I'm very sorry that some Reiki people have discredited the rest of us. I do Reiki and think that all healing practices have their place. I'd like to learn about Qui Gong too sometime. I get the distant Quigong healings from Michael every few months too. I hadn't realised you used the acupressure points in it, so I just learnt something, thank you. I hope you find some good Reiki people in your area soon to restore your faith. Honest, there are some open-minded ones :-) Muriel (in UK) , " Ray " <chigung68 wrote: > > Hello group. > > Hi Jayne, I'm from Cleveland OH. Guest guest
Welcome Ray! Well i do both Medical Qi Gong and Reiki and i will tell you that no one system as it all, and that you sound like you are on the right path. Sucks that people bring their egos with them wherever they go. But for us, our work is in what we are called to do, not what crap others want to contaminate us with..in the end i think that people don't really mean to to injure us, they are just defeated in their own Spirits, and we just happen to be there. Keep rocking..Tymothy " Ray " <chigung68 wrote: > > Hello group. > > Hi Jayne, I'm from Cleveland OH. Guest guest
, " addysmum2003 " <addysmum wrote: Hi Jess and Cathy, Thank you both for responding. As far as I'm concerned, there will always be people who abuse their gifts/skills in the healing world. So I try not to let my opinions of those people ruin it for the rest of us. As far as using any energy healing, the same exact princibles apply in chi gung. You are the conductor of healing energy, NOT the generator. And as long as you continue to practice self-healing and prepare yourself before energy healing, there will be a positive affect on both the healer and the person recieving it. I truely believe that being a healer was my calling in life. For the past few years, I've felt like there were pieces of a puzzle coming together in my life. And, for the first time, I think this is why I've experienced all the things I have in my life; good and bad. Since I was in grade school, I've always felt a strong need to help people who are having problems. Whether physical or emotional. Now that I've learned about, practiced, experienced and continue to study everything I can get my hands on about being a healer, I know that I NEED to do this. I agree that anybody who has a gift, or the compasion and will to learn to be a healer, they are responsible for their actions and treatment of people. And not just durring healing sessions. And, once somebody has gained basic skills, and experiences the wonderful feelings that comes from helping people, it would be hard pressed say that being a healer isn't a spiritual experience as well. Guest guest
I know the feeling of needing to help. Before I had kids I was a palliative home care worker. Now I want to be more then a care giver I want to be involved in the healing part.
