Kyanite and alabaster are two which come immediately to mind which would not tolerate being put into any sort of liquid. Depending upon the stone and what it will be used for, it can be placed in the moonlight or sunlight. Moonlight won't necessarily fade a stone's color, but sunlight could, depending upon the stone. Hope that is of some use to some of you out there. S_O ______________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Good point Salveo- I was in a hurry ( not online at home) and forgot to mention that! The crystals that can't be put under water I tend to smudge with insense.Regarding sunlight and moonlight- one of my agates *adores* the sun- he loves nothing more than to sit in bright sunlight- you can literally see him re energising himself! I find my ameythests love the moon as does the selenite. That would definitely not be a good thing. According to my research, kyanite doesn't need to have much of anything done to it, making it useful for clearing other stones. A larger chunk of quartz can clear other stones, then the quartz can have the preferred method of clearing done. It can run interference in that manner for other stones and it doesn't matter if it's citrine, amethyst, or clear quartz, as long as it's chunky. A bowl of rosemary to rest a stone in can be an alternative if someone doesn't tolerate incense well. Hope that is also of some assistance to someone out there looking for alternative methods of clearing stones. S_O ______________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Guest guest
No worries Salveo. Selenite is far too precious to lose! Guest guest
I have a question, I bought a drusy amethyst at a Renaissance Festival. Is that different from regular amethyst? or does it just mean it's a cluster of them? Thanks, Cherie **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
Cherie, As I understand it, druze is a cluster of tiny crystals. A druzy amethyst is amethyst that is in the form of a cluster of tiny crystals. Is this what yours looks like? For me, the energy of druze is softer and warmer, kind of like a fuzzy blanket. Hope this helps! Love and light, Cindy , venus2578 wrote: > > I have a question, I bought a drusy amethyst at a Renaissance Festival.
