I agree with my sisters about the rose quartz and amethyst for comfort and gentle healing, and I would add some " heart stones " like green aventurine and green calcite. Try different stones and see how they feel to you. For the asthma, other than your rescue inhaler (I know, I know . . .), look for calming blue stones. Blue lace agate and aquamarine work for me, and emotional upheaval can trigger my asthma, so I'm thinking your heavy heart may be triggering yours? If you have to be around people or places that remind you of your relationship, try to wear or carry citrine, black tourmaline and smokey quartz--all very protective and excellent at keeping negative energy away. These transitions really blow sometimes, don't they? Be gentle with yourself, and let time and your crystal buddies heal you. I can definitely second the use of rhodochrosite! This is an amazing stone for trauma. Helps you handle your emotions - provides a cushion and helps you think more rationally. I've heard that rose quartz together with hematite is an excellent combination for heartache. It's also a good combination for helping you sleep if you put them under your pillow. Amethyst is excellent for getting in touch with your higher self. So if you're having trouble thinking clearly, and being blinded by your emotions, then get out the amethyst ;o) I'm afraid I can't help specifically with the asthma question, but I think someone else has said this could be causing you particular problems at the moment because of your anxiety/stress over the break up. Hopefully learning to handle how you feel should help. Best of luck. There's lots of websites to choose from - and ebay. Maybe someone who's near you can recommend somewhere. It's best to cleanse the stones when you first receive them. I keep them on my desk, in my pockets, in my purse and carry a velvet bag around with me with mire assortments! Crystals help with that as well ;o) Put them anywhere you feel the urge to - on your desk, in your pocket, in your purse, wear them as a neckalce, etc. They act as good 'reminders' if you can see or feel them. They can work well against a particular chakra, or just somewhere in your environment. The main advice is to experiment and see what works for you - have fun! The only thing to be careful of is overloading yourself. If you have lots of different kinds of crystals together at once - in your room or on your person - you might feel overwhelmed or confused, so don't forget to start gradually. I find it amazing to get to know one stone at a time - I'm a thorough person at heart! If you're particularly drawn to just one crystal then you might find this useful - just basically keep it on you at all times and see how it affects you. But then certain combinations work really well (like hematite and rose quartz). You'll feel if a combination is right for you... Anyway, enough from me! Have you found somewhere to purchase them yet? I got a few stones rose quartz, smorty quartz, moonstone and a few I don't remember now :-( what they are.... But I need these crystals/stones to heal my heart list YESTERDAY... Pink and Green stones are specifically for the heart chakra, so any you have like this (inc. Rose quartz) will help your heart and also balance you - as this is the balancing chakra between physical and spiritual. Smoky quartz is a good idea as this will ground down any negative energy. Try to imagine all your heartache moving down through your body and depp into the ground. You can also pull up some amazing positive energy from the ground too. If you sit on a chair with the smoky quartz at your feet, with your feet flat on the ground, it helps you ground energies. Hope this helps. Have fun!
