Guest guest
Hello everyone. *waving* I have been reading off and on for a couple of weeks now and finally feel ready to ask some questions. I found your group looking for alternative/natural healing for my MIL. She has been diagnosed with stage 3 non-small cell lung cancer. She is doing a holistic treatment program as she did not want to have anything to do with chemo. (and who can blame her) I am looking into getting her some healing stones/crystals to have around her house. I have barely scratched the surface when it comes to learning about these wonderful healing stones/crystals so I am hoping that someone will be able to help me out. I feel as time is of the essence at this point and figured it would be quicker to get some opinions from experienced people as yourselves. Mom has not been eating well and sleeping way more than usual, I think she is 'tired' and if it is her time, I just want it to be peaceful for her. I do believe she was ready for the alternative treatment and was excited about it, but sometimes I feel she has lost that excitement. (can you tell I am struggling with this? I am all over the place with my emotions.) she has good days and those days are really really good and then she has bad days...they are depressing. She needs to eat, rest, drink water...two of three she is having a hard time with. She is doing all her 'stuff' for her treatment. She is 82 years old and told me she had always planned on living to be 104. One year older than her Grandmother. Her son, my husband, is also struggling with this. I would like to purchase some stones/crystals for him, but he is a non believer. He keeps his emotions locked up and does not complain. I know when he is struggling, but he doesn't want to open up as often as I think he should. That being said, everyone deals with things in their own way. I just want to make sure he is ok. I dont' know, maybe that is something I need to work on? LOL Please forgive my ignorance... 1) How close do you have to be to the stones in order for them to do any good? do you have to be in contact with them or just in the same room? 2) What if the person does not believe, will this still work for them? 3) How do I know which stones to purchase? I have read that people know that certain crystals are for them...how do I know? If I purchase them over the internet I can't touch them first. And how do you know if they are meant for someone? 4) Can too many energies at once cause problems? 5) I was looking at the John of God stones that someone here has on their site, should I just start with those? 6) Does anyone know of a place in Michigan (around the Grand Rapids area) that I could purchase crystals? I have been searching on the internet and in the phone book and have been unsucessful. Thank you all for taking the time to read my email. I do understand I have much to learn and will continue to do so. I just want to help my MIL and my husband if I can. Blessing! Jen
Guest guest
Hi Jen, I am certainly no pro but I would recommend a Chakra Layout to aligna the chakra's. Also Selenite, Smoky Quartz, Amber, Rose Quartz, and some clear Quartz crystals. You may want to include some Reiki healing techniques as well and can request distance Reiki healing online. Guest guest
You do need to be careful when performing crystal layouts on cancer patients. It should be done by a qualified Crystal therapist. You need to have control over the lower 3 chakras, these will enlarge and you need to know when they've returned to normal. Having said that, it should be fine to have crystals in the room on the bedside table. Do not have crystals too near if she decides on chemo or radiation. Remember they amplify things and can interfere with the energy flow (these radical therapies have a wierd effect on the body, they slow the physical body and speed up the etheric) Moss agate is very good for cancer. Another thing that is very helpful is for her to visualise the cancer washing out of her body in the shower. I'm a crystal Therapist and I remember a story my techer told me of a man who had inoperable cancer, the doctors said nothing could be done. He did the shower visualisation and also got his x-rays which showed the cancer. Every day he would visualise a small part of the cancer being " rubbed " away, when he was done, he'd go to the x-ray and white-out the part that he'd visualised away. he ended up living for another 30years! Laser wands can also be used by someone who knows what they are doing. Utilising a laser wand, you can do the same as the visualisation " rubbing away " small bits at a time, making sure to " waft " all the gunk out of the aura with your hand and cleanse the room and your selves afterward (or also during) burn sandalwood or sage incense. use blue Kyanite over the area that was cleaned with the laser. You can also heal the aura in the area cleaned with green aventurine and rose quartz. What type of cancer does she have? This can also give a clue on which stones might be beneficial. There are some great affirmations if she'd be prepared to give them a go. Read you can heal your life by Louise Hay. If she is making the transition (dying) there are some good stones to have on her bedside table to help. Chiastolite is one, there are many others. It might also be beneficial to have a couple of crystals in your room particularly for your husband to help him deal with his grief. he doesn't have to believe or acknowledge that they are anything other than pretty rocks! Guest guest
Hello Jen, My personal path of natural healing started with essential oils and led me thru energy work to Crystals. I believe the 3 together are wonderful gifts/tools from God. I am also new to crystals so I don't have much to offer you from that direction but good intentions but, I do believe that if you arn't using essential oils you may want to see what they are all about. There are many brands, some are better than others. I have tried many but I have found that the best consistancy and higest vibes come from Young Living. People either seem to love them or hate them, I love them. I have done extensive research with the EO's I can point you in the right direction of where you may want to begin your own studies. Let me know if you would like more info. www.youngliving.org/scentimental Rebecca On 12/12/07, Jen <babe.396 wrote: > > Hello everyone. *waving* > I have been reading off and on for a couple of weeks now and finally > feel ready to ask some questions. > > I found your group looking for alternative/natural healing for my > MIL. Guest guest
David, thank you for the information!! I have another question for you...how did you find that information on the Rock Shops in Michigan? I have been searching for a few days and apparently I need to learn how to search better. LOL Also, Reiki distance healing, how do you know if someone is legit when they say they are a Reiki healer. I have dealt with 'false' people before and I am a bit guarded because of that. thank you again, I appreciate the help. Jen - David A. Guest guest
Thank you Vicky! I am not qualified nor would I attempt anything other than having the crystals in the room with her or having her hold the crystals. I would not want to make it worse for her and I fear that is exactly what would happen if I tried to pretend I was qualified for that. She will not do chemo so we don't need to worry about that. She is very open to this type of healing, so I thought she would be intrigued. I have not spoken to her about crystal healing yet, but she is a firm believer in the body can heal itself if given the help it needs. I think she will be fascinated with this email, as I am printing it out for her. And will be excited about going to one of the Rock shops with me to pick some things out. She has non small cell lung cancer, Squamous carcinoma. That is what she was told, but that type of cancer isn't supposed to move out of the lungs and she was also told that it has moved outside the lungs. What type of stones would you recommend to help my husband to deal with grief? Good! I am glad he doesn't have to believe...LOL I can't begin to explain how grateful I am for this groups help! Thank you thank you thank you! If anyone has recommendations on someone for Reiki healing, I would love to hear it. Jen - vicky Wednesday, December 12, 2007 9:12 PM Re: [CrystalHW] Newbie alert! Long too... Blessing! Guest guest
Rebecca, thank you! I will ask my MIL if she is interested in learning more on essential oils. I never even thought about that. I know very little about their healing properties so I haven't brought that up to her. All of you have been very helpful! Jen - Rebecca Perez Thursday, December 13, 2007 12:59 PM Re: [CrystalHW] Newbie alert! Long too... Guest guest
Hi Jen, It is awesome that your MIL is open to alternative methods of healing. Crystals are absolutely wonderful. As are essential oils that Rebecca suggested. I can vouch personally for Young Living oils. What I can vouch for personally as well is shamanic energy work. I have trained in the Incan tradition of the Q'ero indigenous to Peru. I not only am a Mesa Carrier, I go regularly and often for shamanic energy work. If you think she would like to explore this I can give you additional information. The shamanic work can be beneficial to family members as well. The work allows for the shifting of the momentum to open to other possibilities. Guest guest
I too use young living oils. they are a bit pricey but for me they are well worth the money. i love there frankincense, and thieves.... working with oils just seems to go along well with working with stones.. they seem to complement each other..both have a way of lifting your spirits when your down... it was kind of strange i haven't had any trouble with my sciatic and wham.. was flat on my back with it than i remembered what somebody had said about drinking peppermint tea three times a day and milk thistle/dandelion .. added a few pieces of picture jasper and my back is feeling much better.. thank you for sharing.... candy Jennifer <babe.396 wrote: Laurie, Yes please.
