Guest guest
Greetings and Salutations all, First of all thank you all for the healing energies you have been sending. We are plum tuckered out here from doggie therapy. Good nights sleeps are not occurring but at least a little better then the beginning of the week. Please keep them coming though. She isn't really out of the woods yet.. It has been two weeks from hell with Tanz passing and then getting a sick puppy. I have done quite a lot of crying. It turns out she was missed during intake at the shelter for kennel cough vaccination. So things started out with kennel cough and progressed from there after the surgery. The shelter cannot reimburse us for the ER vet visit (since we opted to take her there instead of back to the shelter) but is willing to do anything they can to help including any additional meds she might wind up needing.. Schatzi is improving but still has much healing to do. There is still plenty of congestion and healing of damaged lung tissue. The plus notes are she doesn't appear to have a fever anymore (that started coming down by Tues eve). Wed. eve she started showing signs of a bit more energy. She had started eating better that day and taking fluids better as well. When I came home from work yesterday on my lunch break she was quite excited and romping and running in the house a bit. She tires out easily though. Part of her therapy is coupaing her. (*beating* on her upper ribs with cupped hands to cause vibration to help break up the phlegm in the lungs) this wears her out a bit too due to the hacking it generates.. Last night and Wed. night we got in a 4 hour stretch of solid sleep before she had a coughing fit. Tues. after her breakfast she didn't want to eat or drink anything really the rest of the day or eve. So, this of course had caused extra concern. She finally did decide to start eating and drinking again Wed. morning before I had to go into work (I had taken a half day vacation in the morning so that she would only be in her crate for 4 hours before my husband John got home. While she wasn't eating her kibble on Wed. she was dining well on cooked venison, brown rice, bread and egg and drinking puppy milk and water. She started wanting to chew on my fingers again Wed. eve and has kept up the eating drinking and chewing on fingers for a day and a half with more energy as mentioned. The entire accounting office at my work (I work in the warehouse but it is a small business (only a total of 35 employees with only about half in office daily) yesterday wanting puppy updates said you should just bring her in and you can take care of her while you work. You wouldn't have to worry about her then. And they would all take turns walking her when she needed to go out. It was sweet. Other folks have brought the dogs or cats int the office at times when there were vet visits during the day or medical issues. SO all in all things are turning around but still a long healing road ahead of us. Thank you all again for all the healing energies and please keep them coming!!! Blessings to your day all. Guest guest
Masses of Reiki on the way. Clever girl, getting the real food, she'll do much better on that. Hope you're planning to keep her on it.
