Guest guest
Toxicity in Stones What to Use...or NOT Spiritual Healing... Using Elixers Gemstone essences/elixers are able to bring about the same effects and changes to the body, mind and spirit as the actual gem. The advantage to them lies in the application. Many times when a gem is laid on the body it may only have a limited or localized effect. A gem essence that is taken is sent to your entire body. There are times that it is more practical to use an essence than to try and carry around a five pound gem. It is usually more practical for your wallet as well. Elixir is the name given to a fluid infused with the energies of a crystal, either through the power of sunlight or moonlight. Water will hold energy patterns intact for long periods of time, and makes it an ideal medium for capturing the therapeutic and metaphysical properties of a stone. There is an advantage to wearing or laying on of crystals though when you are experimenting. In particular, they can be quickly removed and its effect will fade much quicker. If there is an area you are targeting, the gem would be preferred. In most cases, a gem and an elixer will compliment each other well when used together. When taken internally, it would be impossible for me to calculate or give directions for doses since everyone's body is so different. The best advise is to start with one or two drops and go from there. And when in doubt about a stone - just DON'T go there! Blessings from Gemstoner What to Use...or NOT There are many crystals that should never be used to make elixirs, ever. Basically, the rule of thumb is that any stone that contains metals should not be used. This would include most brightly colored blue and green stones as these often take their coloring from metals (usually copper), and metals are toxic to your body. Water or alcohol will leach the toxins from the stone, which would then be ingested by you. Also, avoid any shiny, metal-looking stones because they would be toxic as well. Now don't get excited, they are not all bad. There are many gems that are very beneficial when used in an elixer. Some examples to safely use topically would be Amethyst for acne, Blue Lace Agate for puffy eyes, Moss Agate for athletes foot, Rhodonite for minor cuts and abrasians and Rose Quartz for burns. For myself, I have 7 rutilated quartz that I use in about 8 ounces of water that I drink in the morning and evening. It has definitely increased my energy, concentration and stamina. Do NOT Use Any Crystals on This List... Please note the recurring theme of " Copper " in toxic stones. I will also be putting these up on my web site in a chart form which will be easier to read or print out for future reference.
