Carnelian to clean stones

I am fairly new to the list and have learned a lot and received a lot of

good information on my questions.

I recently read that if you put a carnelian with your gemstones that you

will no longer need to clean them. It said that the carnelian removed any

negativity and cleansed the stones.

Does anyone do this or have any thoughts on cleaning your stones this way.

From Debra's post, I have ordered some tumbled infinite to use for me and my

dogs. Would a carnelian in the " pillow " help with this or should they still

be cleaned. What is the best way to clean them?

Thanks again for all your help! This is a GREAT group!!

I've not heard of Carnelian being used to cleanse gemstones, but i do

know that both Citrine and Kyanite are said to be gemstones

that 'never need cleansing and may be used to cleanse other

gemstones' as they deflect negative energy rather than draw it away.

I do keep a lot of Citrine and Kyanite amongst my crystals, but I

still cleanse my crystals if I feel they need it.

I too have not heard of carnelian being used as a cleansing stone. I

personally love Selenite ... it cleanses and charges by not repelling negative

energies but transmuting (transforming) them into positive white light energy.

It

also does not hold negative energies.

It is also a good crystal (especially smokey selenite) to use for contacting

spirit guides ... whether you want to or not ;-)

Blessings to your eve all.

Hello All,

Regarding Carnelian as a cleanser: according to Judy Hall's " Crystal Bible " ,

Carnelian is a stone that cleans & energizes other stones. I have many small

pieces of Carnelian scattered amongst my stones for that purpose.

Hope that helps.
