Does anyone know of any sucessful treatment (herbs, acupuncture, etc.) which

could replace tooth extraction or root canal?

The problem with antibiotics is that the bacteria are inside the tooth and so

are not killed. It does not seem that herbs would be effective for the same

reason.

A friend of mine runs a drug company for dental issues. I found out

recently it is actually a rather large company. Interesting to find out who I

am

speaking to sometimes.

Anyway,,,, according to this guy, part of the typical problem with teeth

is bacterial. Another common and usually concurrent issue is microbes. One

of the reasons antibacterial don't often work completely is the microbes that

are left behind.

His company does sell inserts that will reside within the gum line and

slowly kills the pathogens. This technology is usually used for periodontal, so

the chance of a dentist being persuaded to use it to kill microbes or

bacteria within their tooth is slim. IMHO. I don't even know if it would work.

I do

understand that teeth are very porous and there is a lot of circulation

within teeth.

Abscesses, IMHO, are a result of either tooth decay, or inflammation. I

have known people who have had an abscess, that did dramatic life changes and

cleanses that were able to keep the tooth without root canal. Your mileage

may vary.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Two patent herbal medication may prove helpful. The first is Watermelon Frost,

famous for its ability to treat throat infections; it is also very useful for

other mouth and tooth infections. The second is a Japanese product known as

Trumpet brand Serogan pills, used for diarrhea and food poisoning, it is also

very effective for infections with dental " carries " where there is a hole in the

tooth that you pack with a piece of the pill. It is very potent. If there is no

carrie, the Watermelon Frost may work as it comes as an ultra-fine powder that

can be worked in around gum lines. Both of these products can be effective, but

as you stated, if this is an infection completely contained within the tooth's

enamel, these topical preparations may not get to the source well enough to be

effective. - Matt Bauer

hi,

try treating the meridian/organ associated with the abscessed tooth

for infection (in the organ) as well as topically for the abscessed

tooth (coq10, oxygen, clove, quercus - something orally that will

pentrate tissues)

says:

Clove Oil is an age-old remedy for toothache and tooth infection.

One drop applied to the roof of the mouth can instantly relieve

many headaches. Its antifungal, antibacterial and antivial qualities

make it an excellent antiinfection essential oil for all types of

infection. Its use can stop infections from taking hold in the body.

Clove is also famous for its ability to kill parasites. It is powerful

addition to an antiparasite program. When used topically, it helps

to numb the skin and relieve many aches and pains. One of its

main components, eugenol, is still used by dentists to numb the

gums for dental procedures. Clove is a carminative that increases

the ability of the stomach to digest foods The use of clove oil when

used on the back of the tongue can help stave off tobacco cravings.

Helps to dissolve warts and other abnormal growths When used in

a gargle, helps relieve the pain of a sore throat.

  • 3 years later...

Hi everyone, me again!

I have a recurring tooth abscess under a particular group of teeth (which

have root fillings), and I think after my recent run of stress and pushing

myself too hard, it's coming back :o( :o(

It's only just started to hurt and there's a bit of swelling in the gum. Is

it too late to help it with any kind of natural healing, or am I just going

to have to stick it out again... more antibiotics! (grrr) Kind of feels like

punishment for letting myself get run down over the past month or two! It

just proves once again that health problems are directly related to stress!!

You get stressed, worn out, and your body's immune system is affected... on

comes colds, abscesses etc, or worse!

If there's anything you think I can do to stop this becoming a full-blown

abscess then do please let me know, but I'm guessing it's too late. I have a

bit of echinacea tincture left so am starting to take this again (shouldn't

have stopped - now slapping wrist!), and I have rhodochrosite crystals

(nature's antibiotic) - any suggestions on what I could do with them?

Anything else I can use?

Thanks, as always,

Katy

HI Katy,

I have real good results with homeopathy and tooth problems. Take arnica for

the trauma, Ledum for inflammation and Hypericum for nerve pain. Usually all

three occur. But you can probably do the hypericum and arnica. Go for the 6x

to start and take every half an hour for an hour and then every hour for 2 hours

and then 3 times a day for a few days. You should have the results you need.

In between, never at the same time, you can rinse with tea tree oil in

water...one or two drops. That is wonderful for infections and inflammation but

can nullify the homeopathic effects so never at the same time.

Go on line for more info but this should give results. I have used it on many

for years.
