Guest guest
Everybody react differently to different energies. Even if a stone or crystal is good for almost everybody to relax and fall asleep, it is possible that this same stone over energise some people. I am on the same page as Carol Ann on this one: try to move your rox in a different room for a couple of days. If you do sleep better that way but miss them too much, try to get them back in the room but in a different spot, ideally as far as possible from your bed. See what happens. Sometimes it is not the presence of the rox as much as their place (a little like Feng Shui) that make the difference. My take on feeling out of breath with you display: Maybe one of your rox is not at ease in there. Try to find witch one (maybe by taking one out every week in rotation with the intention of finding the right place for that stone) and when you do, the problem is solve. But I think that there is a possibility of too much of a good thing. If you say yourself that you are a junkie, it is quite possible that you have a dependance on crystal energy (i.e. You rely solely or too much on stones to get you energy, so you don't learn how to built your defences from bad energy and you don't learn to rely on your own potential) I have learn that crystals are alive, but so are we. We can work together and they can help us achieve a certain level of energy a lot quicker than we could by ourself, but we all have the power in ourselves to get there (we don't need the horse or the car to move around: it just goes faster that way). An other possibility: Maybe your rox are trying to tell you something, not about themselves but about you, for our own good. It is something to dwell on if you get that feeling again with your rox. Hope it helps Josée
Guest guest
Interesting topic this... For me the crystals seem to guide me through a journey. I tend to stick to between 1 and 3 at a time and work with them for a matter of weeks or months. Then another crystal naturally comes along and takes its place and I work with that for a while. Working with single crystals for a long period of time can help you really understand that crystal and how its energy affects you. So after a while you learn which crystal is calling you, when you're in a particular situation and need assistance. I understand what you mean about being a crystal junkie. I feel the same, but I try to moderate it. And yes sometimes this does become a dependancy... but whether this is healthy or not is another question. If you're dependant on a particular crystal to get you through a rough time then at least you know that crystal is helping you (no adverse/side-effects!). It's right for you - it's helping you work through something. You'll know when it's time to give it a rest (i.e. no crystals for a while and see how you cope) or move on to another crystal because your higher self will tell you. If you're not in touch with your higher self then I strongly recommend stepping aside from your many crystals for a while and just working with some amethyst - wear it, carry it around with you, sleep with it under your pillow etc. But if you're the flighty type (like me) you might want to combine it with something like hematite or lodestone/magnetite. I find this combination helps keep me balanced without the energies getting confused. You see how it's adaptable? Take what you need... think carefully. 'Don't take them all' lol. I know it's terribly tempting... (I'm now moving all those many crystals from my nightstand too - let's see if I sleep better!!)... but keep it simple and you might learn so much more (about crystals and about yourself). It's really a very exciting journey. Oh, and every now and then give yourself a treat... a full chakra healing session. That's when lots of your crystals can come out to play ... got to keep all those chakras spinning lol. Good luck, Katy UK On 17/05/07, Josée Robitaille <griffe wrote: > > But I think that there is a possibility of too much of a good thing. Guest guest
I appreciate everyone's input. This has been very helpful. I think ReNau was onto something about them suffocating in the curio. Since I've had them out I haven't felt that feeling and can sit in the circle for a period of time. They seem happy there. My rox have taught me so much these past few years. I was a bit of a skeptic at first and my eldest son thinks it's all in my head. I'm glad my younger son doesn't think so and carries some for protection while he is in Iraq. They work because he got out of the way of an IED a few weeks back and was only bruised and has partial hearing loss.. but he's still in this world. I have used a fire agate to heal acid reflux and I was able to stop taking the medications. I use hemetites to keep my spine aligned and don't visit my chiropractor as often. I find some want to come home with me, even though I know they aren't for me. I have given many away to friends and family. A four-year old girl was visiting my office recently and inquired about all my rox, so I went through them with her. She has been in my office many times before, but never inquired. She was drawn to my yellow citrine, so I let her have it. Her Mom and Dad are going through a very nasty divorce. I found when I got home and looked through my bible that it promotes joy... something she needed. My Mother recently asked me to acquire a fire agate for her stomach problems. My sister asked if I had something to stop her frequent nosebleeds and has been carrying a pair of lodestones (which I bought about a year ago and put away) with her for a few months and the nosebleeds are infrequent now. I've got her hooked, too. You may be right Josee... I may be depending on them too much. I am going to try some feng shui. Some days I don't put any in my pockets, but know there are some on my desk at work. I need to learn not to rely on them. I just love them so much. I have an elderly friend who tells me that I always want to start at the top when I am learning something new. I think I need to find one for patience.... thanks again to everyone!
