Information on FDA ruling not factual

Dear Students of Reiki,

Recently there have been many emails circulating on the internet

warning about a new ruling the FDA is about to create that would threaten the

practice of Reiki and other complementary practices making it illegal to

practice unless you’re a medically licensed health care provider. The emails

have also said that our right to use vitamins and herbs will also be threatened

by this new ruling so that they will only be available by a doctor’s

prescription and even then at very low dosages. People have been asked to

protest this ruling by sending emails to the FDA by April 30.

This information is not based on fact. The practice of Reiki isn’t

being threatened by any proposed FDA ruling, nor is our right to access

vitamins and herbs. The information passed around on the Internet has for some

reason been distorted and misrepresented.

In December 2006, the FDA issued a guidance document that commented on

an existing ruling. They are not proposing anything new. To summarize part of

the existing ruling, it indicates that if a vitamin, herb or food manufacturer

states that their product will cure an illness, that manufacturer must first

get permission from the FDA before making such a statement. The same is true

for any practice such as Reiki. If a Reiki practitioner claims that Reiki will

cure an illness, then the practitioner must get permission from the FDA before

making that claim.

The National Health Freedom Coalition has reviewed this issue and

written a clarification document that I suggest you read for further

information. Look specifically at points 5 and 6.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for that clarification. There has been a

lot of fear producing emails going around that I have finally just deleted. We

can make our voices heard without the fear mongering.

That is the first I had heard about it if it is a hoax, for that matter this

is the first place and time I had even heard of it.

Though I wouldn't put it past them as they have attempted to do things

like that with supplements many many times. I have also witnessed times that

cities or states were convinced to pass legislation on different holistic

alternative healing arena, and watched when outside forces came in and took

it over creating a nightmare in its wake. for instance recently the

natropaths of my state became convinced and decided they wanted some

legislation and a board to help govern over all of them and to help build

credibility to them hopefully eliminating the flim flams. The naturopaths

were all supposed to be involved and have some of them on the board that was

to govern, and some group came in from another state and muscled the

creators of the bill out of even being a part of the board. I have seen as

the FDA has gone in guns blazing raiding offices like they were gun dealers

or something else.

 

I have seen it that many of us can not say certain words with out fear.

 

I thank you for finding out if it is true or not, though with a note of

healthy skepticism we all need to keep an active watch as to what the FDA

Gods do, to keep all of us and our fellow beings safe. as well as what is

happening in the legislature, to make sure something doesn't get slipped

into another health bill.

It is very real indeed. Sadly, I think Mr. Rand's email will have many people

thinking this is not real or as serious as it is. Our freedoms are at stake.

I don't expect that Reiki is in any danger. Don't you just use a

healing energy found in the universe for your healing?

 

Other healers are in more danger. AND all people who want to eat

start getting rights pinched once again.

 

But... beware misinformation, and do you know yet which report is

the misinformation.

 

Misinformation used to be just for our enemies, now it's for

citizens too. The future isn't what it used to be, folks.

I use reike energy in many of my modalities and I personally dont put

anything past any of them.

I also focus Reike energy into my tinctures and herbal remedies.
