Guest guest
Hi everyone, Can anyone explain to me what druzy agate and druzy chalcedony is? I have read that blue druzy chalcedony is avalonite. Is this correct? Is pink druzy agate known by another name? What properties does it have? Also, I have been borrowing crystal books from my local library but I want to buy myself a book that has a wide range of crystals in it. What book/s do people recommend as the best? All the best, Donna
Guest guest
Greetings, " Druzy " refers to a bed of tightly-packed crystals of very fine crystalline structure similar to sugar or salt crystals, also known as " Druzes " , " Drusies " or " Druzi " quartz. Here are some great pictures - http://www.glypticconcepts.com/DruzyBlueAgate.html http://www.khulsey.com/jewelry/semi-precious_gems_druzy.html On crystal books, I love my set of fours books from author Melody - Love Is in the Earth: A Kaleidoscope of Crystals Love Is in the Earth - Mineralogical Pictorial : Treasures of the Earth Love Is in the Earth : Kaleidoscopic Pictorial Supplement A Love Is in the Earth : Kaleidoscopic Pictorial Supplement Z But if you can only have one book this one is good - The Crystal Bible: A Definitive Guide to Crystals by Judy Hall Walk In Light, Debra Donna <donnabailey77 wrote: Hi everyone, Can anyone explain to me what druzy agate and druzy chalcedony is? Guest guest
Hi Donna, One that I use all the time is The Crystal Bible by Judith Hall. I've turned several people onto it.
