Guest guest
Dear group, I have recently purchased about 100 green phantom quartz and realised that for most pieces, there are also inclusion which is white which seems like white phantom and also brown and brownish red. I understand that green phantom is chlorite inclusion. However, can anyone please advise me on what are the white, brown, and brownish red inclusion please. Thank you Damon
Guest guest
Aloha Damon. . the brown and red could be hematite and rutile. It is often difficult to tell what inclusions are, so we often use a pendulum and ask. . Is it ??? or is it ??? Sometimes the answer is clear and sometime not. It is important to note that a phantom is a crystal that stopped it's growth long enough to form a 'cap' and then continued it's growth. The ghost like appearance inside will have the same shape as the formation of crystal at the natural termination. Otherwise it is probably just inclusions which are awesome and wonderful, but not 'phantoms'. Someone recently asked about stones recommended for creativity. Amazonite is often called the writer's, artists or musicians stone. The blue green color relates to third chakra (yellow) self-confidence or personal power, fourth chakra (green) opening heart, expressing grief, having courage and fifth chakra (blue) speaking ones truth, communication. The same would be true of Turquoise and similar colors. Blessings to All! Guest guest
I have managed to get some pictures of the red and white and brown inclusions. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/stones_n_more/TEMPT/DSCF0989.jpg I understand that the bright red could most probably be hematite. Does anyone knows what are the brown inclusions? as most of my green phantoms have those. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/stones_n_more/TEMPT/DSCF0990.jpg http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/stones_n_more/TEMPT/DSCF0991.jpg http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/stones_n_more/TEMPT/DSCF1007.jpg http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/stones_n_more/TEMPT/DSCF1009.jpg these four pics above are some of the quartz I have with white inclusions, the last two pics is white inclusion phantom, the red rutile just grew out as it was not there before. Does anyone knows what are the white inclusions? http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/stones_n_more/TEMPT/DSCF0858.jpg http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/stones_n_more/TEMPT/DSCF0857.jpg http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/stones_n_more/TEMPT/DSCF0856.jpg This piece of quartz contains some red inclusion, however, the surface of the points, there are alot of black inclusions which forms very nice patterns, does anyone knows what are the black inclusion? http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w156/stones_n_more/TEMPT/DSCF0860.jpg This quartz contains red inclusion which form what seems like a little hill, when view from the bottom, the middle of the " hill " is hollow, like a cone, what could be the inclusion and is it form naturally? Sorry for asking so many questions at a go but these are what have been puzzling me since I started collecting crystals and hope that someone could help me answer to these. Greetings Damon, Just as a reference, I looked in Melody's book " Love is in the Earth " because I know she usually lists the colors that the crystals can form/come in. It states Chlorite is the designation for a group of minerals. The minerals of the Chlorite collections include: Clinochlore, Diabantite, Daphnite, Kammererite and Penninite. You might want to look into these minerals to assist with your answers. Blessings to your eve all. ReNau

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone.
