I have a lot of crystals around me allways. I have Clear Quartz,Amethist,Tiger Eye and Aux Eye right next to me where I sleep. Also I have a little backet next to the bed and also bigger Clear Quartz next to the computer. What I have noticed recently is that the ones right next to me where I sleep look clearer.Also the big quartz next to the computer looks clearer. I used to wear Carnelian for about a year around my neck. Last summer I had a back problem and while I was healing myself the Carnelian fell off my neck on its own. When I looked at it, it had black fields in it (very clear). I just took it out of the backet and I saw it changed back to its normal color but slightly different when I first bought it. Thats why I am posting this ) I know it sounds crazy LOL but I would appreciat any comments on this. Thank you. Light,Love and Power A. Guest guest Posted February 6, 2007 Report Share Posted February 6, 2007 Hi A I was told once that crystals (particularly clear quartz) get clearer as they're working on their own evolution/ascension. As they are doing their work, they get clearer. I've also seen a piece of amethyst get clearer in this way when my dad was holding it a lot when he was ill. He had a spiritual awakening and thinking about it now, with amethyst having a very spiritual vibration, that probably helped him. I think their energy together helped evolve both my dad and the crystal. As for others changing, I know if we're quite ill or have a lot of pain, and don't cleanse the crystals and allow them to rest, they can change colour and lustre and look sick. With your carnelian falling off of it's own accord that could be telling you one of two things, either it needed a rest, or you no longer needed it's vibration to assist your healing. I cleaned it in sea salt and then put it back in the backet with crystals next to my bed. I wish I have taken a picture of it. It was with big black chunks inside and the rest very clear no foggy as the usual carnelian. But last night I picked it up out of the backet and was amazed when I saw it took back its original " foggy color " well slightly different when I first bough it but definitely not as it was when it was helping me heal my back. Also I noticed the Amethists at work I use during Reiki changed after I put them around the candle in the room. I though it was my vision ) then weeks later I noticed this with my crystals too Thank you. Because of it's chemical properties salt can be a great cleansing tool, but wanted to comment that although sea salt and salt water are often recommended for clearing crystals it is important to remember that salt is drying and should be rinsed off after clearing. I live near the ocean and at one time took my most used crystals there for a bath and noticed that some of the quartzes (water based) were developing cracks, so have since made sure that I rinse them with plain water afterward. They can also be buried if size appropriate in a ceramic bowl in dry salt and have used sun dried Celtic sea salt available in most health food stores. When I do this I put all crystal used for chakra balancing in one bowl, so that crystal are not touching and make sure all are covered. Once used the salt should be discarded where it won't affect plants or other living things. Smudging, moonlight/sunlight bathing are also effective. Joy Gardner in her Healing Thru the Chakras book states that the simplest and best method is to hold the crystal point down under running water for 10-20 seconds, allowing the water to run freely from the forearm down. I have seen crystals change color as someone held them and have a friend who whenever she uses Rose Quartz finds that it accumulates orange colored inclusions. Hope this information is helpful.
