I bought my version of Goldwave and have been very pleased with it's capabilities, more than I'll ever learn to use no doubt! It even has a timer feature which lets me set up a time to record a radio program if I'm not here, or asleep. Or here, asleep, for that matter. Then you have it all on Digital and can burn CDRoms. Most recording utilities have all sorts of Filters and Enhancers and such, so that you can take out scratches, clicks and pops or hiss. It comes in very handy when recording your old vinyl records to disk! I've also worked with a couple of tapes that needed Volume Leveling and cleaning up of garbled sound sometimes. Good Luck!
