Guest guest
Hey ReNau... and others :-) I know you like Ebay.. and I even resort to selling on the occasionally....but.. but.... I have to warn the new folks.... please be very careful. There are dealers on ebay who sell items that are not the real thing as something else. The two items that I see all the time are Ajoite in Quartz and Super Seven (Melody stone) that are falsely represented. I don't know if the person selling it is knowingly mis representing it.. or if it is the people that they are buying from are mis representing it... I will show a couple of examples... This item is NOT Ajoite... is it Chrysocolla in Quartz... It comes from near the Messina mine.. but it is not actually from the Messina, South Africa mine. This one shows up a lot on Ebay.... http://cgi.ebay.com/AJOITE-IN-QUARTZ-HEALING-CRYSTAL-MESSINA-VERY-RARE_W0QQitemZ\ 270060197505QQihZ017QQcategoryZ19268QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Here is the real Ajoite that is from Messina, RSA http://cgi.ebay.com/AJOITE-INCLUSIONS-IN-QUARTZ-FROM-MESSINA-S-AFRICA_W0QQitemZ2\ 30038972976QQihZ013QQcategoryZ3225QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem Or http://cgi.ebay.com/Ajoite-in-quartz-crystal-Messina-South-Africa_W0QQitemZ65923\ 66095QQihZ012QQcategoryZ3226QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem And here is a piece of Amethyst being sold as Super Seven ( Melody Stone) that is not the real thing... http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-7-Seven-Melody-Stone-Elestial-Crystal_W0QQitemZ2700606\ 40489QQihZ017QQcategoryZ113797QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Here is the real deal on the Super Seven... it was formed in an unusual way.. and has a very distinct look... http://cgi.ebay.com/MELODY-STONE-Heart-SUPER-7-Seven-Sacred-7-1-1-4-LB_W0QQitemZ\ 6559671078QQihZ012QQcategoryZ3224QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem Note that both of these sellers have a feedback of 100%. Again.. I don't know if the ebay sellers know what they are really selling or if it is their suppliers... So beware if you are buying on Ebay... even the 100% feedback sellers can be selling the mis labled items If you have any questions about something you want to buy... you can always send me a picture or a link.. and I will let you know if it is real or if it is memorex. :-) In gratitude, John .. >So, please don't be fearful of online crystal purchasing when you can't >physically hold the crystal before purchase. Guest guest
John THANK YOU For the insight into ebay. If I can find my camera, I would love for you to look at a piece of " sugilite " To see if its the real deal. What an eye opening experience. I buy a ton of stuff off of ebay and I try to be careful. I find it so sad that these people either dont know or are deliberately missleading good folks! Guest guest
Those are beauties! Thanks for the info. Although I prefer to purchase in person I have bought a lot of gems off ebay and haven't had a problem. I always try to look them up before I purchase... just to be sure. I just watch for those 'rare' ones that are really inexpensive.... those make me go hmmm. Guest guest
I would like to second what John says, in that you do have to be careful who you're buying from on Ebay. I too buy a lot of my stones through Ebay, but there are only a very select few sellers that I trust enough to buy from. I not only look at the feedback number & percentage, but also at the actual comments - I like to see a fair number of comments relating to the energy of the stones. Though, on the flip side... If a stone connects with me through the screen, then that's the right stone for me - regardless of what name is attached to it. (That's not to dismiss the importance of correct representation, of course.) To my thinking, (and to use one of your examples, John), if for instance, Ajoite is a stone that I should have, then I figure the 'Chrysocolla version' wouldn't call out to me, only a *genuine* Ajoite would. A very reputable vendor from New Zealand posted to his site that he would no longer be selling amethyst geodes due to some shady practices going on in that market at the item (this was only about 6 month or so ago.) What some of the actual suppliers were doing was *padding* the weight since the amethyst geodes are quiet often sold by weight (at least to the middle man/retailer). What they were (and possibly still are doing) was adding concrete to the matrix and disguising it. I have even been into rock shops where I was misinformed or the folks working there just didn't know what a particular crystal was. So regardless of where someone is purchasing crystal it is always a buyer beware and get to know your crystals. Blessings to your eve all. I have had a few crystals come to me from sellers who didn't know what they had and I got the great end of the bargain for sure. I have in my crystal family a rather large malachite egg about 2 1/2 " tall with wonderfull bitroydol (sp) markings. The seller had no clue and I think I paid 10.00 for it (definitely under 20 total after S/H). Also a selenite wand that turned out to be an enhydro selenite wand with at least 5-6 water bubble chambers in it (the wonders of using a magnifying glass on crystals to get a closer look ;-) ) I too have limited crystal-fun money at any given time. So look for bargains and *listen* for crystals to call to me.

I sell alot of healing crystals , herkimer diamonds, and lemurians on eBay and honestly, the reason I started was because I got tired of paying too much or buying from people who really didnt know what they were selling. I agree, always ask questions from your buyers to make sure they are knowledgeable, etc. Peace and Light Mike princessbbf2 <pbbf2.groups wrote: I would like to second what John says, in that you do have to be careful who you're buying from on Ebay. Guest guest
Hi all I agree that it is awful that people are selling just for the money. Alot of the people who mine the crystals just keep mineing and mineing till there are no more crystal left. Mother earth grows these beautiful beings for both herself and for us. The trouble is is that the people mineing arent interested in taking just what is meant for us and leaving the rest for the planet, all they want is to mine and mine until there isnt any left. This will unbalance the earth in that area and what is for the earth should be left there. Blessings Sharon and Merlin

Guest guest
I have purchased a few stones off ebay. My theory is when I put bids on several items, the ones I win are the stones that are ment to come into my life. Im not as sensitive as some on here and dont get " zapped " by the photos. So I simply trust in the fact that the right ones will come to me. I purchased a few large quartz points. Wasnt sure why they were in my life, but have since figured out what to do with them. At the momment they are gridding my meditation room. =) WinterBlessings!
