Guest guest
I got a shipment of small crystals who had spoken out to me. I do not yet know why I'm now being called to be home for several small handfulls of pebble sized stones. What I ordered is beyond lovely, some rough opal, some pink toumaline, bits of Malachite, Sodalite, snowflake obsidian and Oregon Sunstone. The seller included a generous gift of an Amethyst Cluster too. Were that all I would have been simply delighted. The gifts however included four crystals which had been crackled, that is treated in some way that caused them to shatter internally and then they were dipped in bright colorants. Gentle washing and soaking did remove some of the outer coloring and some of that which had soaked into the cracks. Perhaps the person who did this felt these crystals were damaged or less than perfect and sought to " improve " them or disguise what they saw as flaws I don't know. I feel sad that people do this kind of thing to crystals and to themselves as well. I do love all crystals and these do not seem to be in the pain that similarly tweaked stones often are My daughter Mara said That they know they have found safe shelter here. Peggy Jentoft My e-mail address has changed because the ISP was taken oever by Time Warner and so far the service is almost as shattered and cracked as the crystals
Guest guest
Wonderful information! A few months back I picked up a what my vendor said is to be a spirit quartz. The vendor I purchased it from didn't know it's properties, but I had to have it. It is really a beautiful bright shade of blue, but it has the shape of spirit quartz. The vendor didn't think it was colored, but I am uncertain as I cannot find any stones that are even close to the color of mine. Did I get lucky on finding this gem? I absolutely love it regardless and it had to come home with me that day to join my collection and it sits proudly in the front row. I could only find information on spirit quartz that are clear or violet in color. Could mine be an aqua aura? Thank you... maybe I can put my search to rest. TalkingFeather Skye Coe <mauiskye1 wrote: Aloha Cynthia and All. . . I'm wondering if the crystals that seem to be colored are what is Aqua Aura, Opal Aura or Quartz w/Tanzanite. When I first opened my seller's booth at a local craft fair, I received many requests for these, in particular the Aqua Aura. I would have never purchased them as I considered them 'messed with' and my clients are as particular as I am when it comes to using dyed or treated stones. I happened to be playing with the Melody tarot Deck one day at a slow moment and pulled the card Queen of Cups. I though it interesting that it mentioned the stones Aqua Aura and I finally gave in and looked it up in the 'Love is in the Earth Book' and was surprised that she noted it's extreme usefulness in healing situations because of the combination of Gold and Quartz. The Quartz, a receiver, transmitter, and amplifier is enhanced by the properties of Gold which caused the energy to flow through three times faster. According to the book the gold is placed in a vacuum with the gold and the piezo-electric properties of the quartz allow the gold to penetrate the entire stone. The result is a beautiful iridescent sheen on the outside and a pale aqua blue color all the way to the center. I was able to get some double terminated pieces from one of my suppliers and even though they are very expensive they sell very quickly to those who are energy sensitive and normally would never consider buying a stone that was treated. The kids love to hold them as well, as putting the terminations between the thumb and middle finger allows one to feel the pulsing or speeded up vibration. We call them little batteries. The Opal Aura and Quartz w/Tanzanite do not get the same results. The Opal Aura has a white iridescence and is made with the same process using platinum and is said to open a certain area of the brain and is as a meditation stone. The Quartz w/Tanzanite is created in the same manner rand results in a deeper almost navy blue appearance and is considered a third eye opener or dreamstone. All three when broken open have a consistency of the 'coloring' all the way through. One of the most interesting stories about the Aqua Aura is about a piece that was purchased by a women who was extremely drawn to it. A few days later she called us and tried to describe the stone, wanting to purchase more. She said the she had placed it with a piece of Smokey Quartz (the one we call the workhorse because of it's ability to remove toxins as well as deal with past life energies) and said that her house was vibrating from the place where she had placed the two stones together. Could I please save the other piece that was still available? She came over a few days later and as is customary in Hawaii, we began to 'talk story'. I was told by my guides the ask her about her work. It turned out that she was a potter who made beautiful pottery with a glaze called crystalline. I have worked as a home health and hospice aide for those recovering from long term use of environmental toxins and felt impelled to ask if she was using gloves when handling the glazes and avoiding breathing is fumes put off by kiln. She said she never had and sensed the strong reaction by the stones in combination related to the removal of toxins. She purchased the second piece for a friend. I lost touch with her but about six months later heard that she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Prayers went out immediately and I hoped to have a chance to talk with her again. Interestingly, at our booth this weekend at a health fair, a friend of hers came to our booth. was attracted to the Aqua Aura and purchased the last piece we had. During our talk story about her new purchase we discovered that she had known 'Claudia' and that yes she had passed from long term exposure to the lead in the glazes. The one who purchased the stone this weekend is an artist who works with oils, some of the high in cadmium, a known toxin and we were able discuss therapies that are commonly used for long term toxin exposure. My heart hold the hope that because she saw what her friend had experienced, she will treat the issue seriously. I realize that this is a long post but feel it is important to share with those who may be using products called crystal or crystalline and be aware that some have a high lead content, find out if they do and if so look into the long term effects. A comment about Crystals that seem fractured inside. Many of those we receive come this way. We actually sell more of these as the 'fractured' ones exhibit more rainbows. Cloudiness or swirls are usually chosen by those who see a particular pattern that no one else sees (i.e an angel, dolphin, castle). Stones that are fractured internally are often considered 'self healed' and by many considered to have enhanced healing abilities. Whenever I am in doubt about the veracity of a stones name I use a pendulum. Other methods of 'polarity' testing are used by others. Information at our website www.heartofmaui.com gives information on using a pendulum. There is also a piece of Aqua Aura, Opal Aura and Quartz w/Tanzanite included on the grid that is shown at our home page. For more information on properties, go to 'About Grid'. I will be acquiring more pieces in the near future, so if interested email me and we can notify you when they arrive. A number of posts have come through recently inquiring about dreamstones. The one I am most familiar with and receive the most requests for is Moldavite, technically a tektite and considered by some to not be a stone. Those who are drawn to it and use it tell about incredible dream experiences when it is placed under pillow. For some it is too strong and causes headaches, so often used together with a stone that more grounding. It is often used on pendulums for it's clearing qualities. Blessings to All! We have discussed this on the group before. The stones I was sent were colored with something like watercolor or food coloring it blead off on the hands much of it washed off in plain water and even more came off with a little detergent. The Krackel effect is not natural either these crystals have been heated or chilled or somthing to give them a pattern of cracks rather like the way safety glass windshields crack into small almost uniform chunks The four crystals are otherwise very different in structure from each other except for what is obviously a " treatment " they have been given.
