Guest guest
Freespirit, The Citrine created from Amethyst will look like Amethyst in structure... ... the points from Geodes or actual Geodes or plates. True Citrine had a totally different look and color. The really rich Citrine that is that gorgeous Dark citrine color is the the heated Amethyst. If you are looking at Spheres or Polished pieces of Citrine it more than likely is true Citrine as the Amethyst " Teeth " are not that large.. and if they were they would be sold in that structure rather than cut or polished. Some people feel that the Citrine from Amethyst has a stronger energy than the natural citrine. If you can get a piece of each and see for yourself the differences in energy. Treated is not always bad. Here is a page from another dealer that is all treated Amethyst.. turned into Citrine: http://www.bestcrystals.com/citrin~1.html And here is a page from my site that is all natural Citrine http://www.exquisitecrystals.com/Citrine.shtml I think you can see the differences in the way they look.. and once you know it.. you know it! Hope that helps, John Van Rees http://www.exquisitecrystals.com >Freespirit, > >Usually the heated amethyst is very dark amber.
