Guest guest
I have heard and read about heated amethyst sometimes being sold as citrine. Is there any way to tell if your citrine is actually heated amethyst? ( other than buying from a reliable source) freespirit
Guest guest
Freespirit, Usually the heated amethyst is very dark amber. And again with a geode I believe the citrine crystals that are druzy are very small, and the amethyst are not. Color is a big factor. That is why when I see a very deep amber citrine I ask. If it is light colored I usually trust it to be citrine. But if anyone else has any other imput on this I would LOVE to be further educated on it.
