Certainly caution would be needed with the small ones if you have a cat that likes to eat things other then food (one of my daughter's cats Jerry has had to have surgery for just that ... swallows hair bands, twisty ties and some other small objects ... shaking head. Zeus on the other hand will actually cuddle up with a crystal and fall asleep. He is a familiar though.). You could always test the cats when you are around, see how they respond to the crystals.
