Hi, i am from mumbai. we all know that healers the world over use all

sorts of crystal and rocks for healing...the individual stones do have

those healing properties..what i have noticed is that certain stones do

not suit certain people...for eg..i realise like gem crysoberyl cat's

eye does not suit a cetain person..so, the crystal cat's eye or tiger's

eye also does not suit the person..the negative results range from the

practical to the mystic...have others also realied similar things with

different stones or agates? also, what are white kines which are very

commoan generally used for? wrgds aadi

Hi Aadi,

Concerning the Crysoberyl - Cat's Eye: It's written in the Babylonian Talmud

that this crystal is good for financial success and abundance but prevents a

woman from getting pregnant. My friend found that when she wears this crystal

her hormones go out of balance and she becomes restless.

Warmly,

Alisa

every stone or crystal can react differently with each persons energy, you have

to really get a feel for what works for you

Thanks so much for your reply, Alisa. Yes, I agree with you both that

each crystal works differently for different individuals and hence one

must be careful about the application. Cat's eye or Tiger's eye is a

very harsh stone..The Crysoberyl cat's eye termed as Vaidurya is one of

the Navratnas as per the vedic philosophy..It is said to give luck and

success to whom it suits astrologically. But it can play havoc with a

person if it does not suit him or her...Mere infrared radiation theory

is not enough to explain its mystic results....But about crystals, at

least healers in India, I am certainly not generalising but most of

them, have a feeling that all crystals suit all..They even go to the

extent of saying that tiger's eye worn as anklets heals joint pain,

green armlets bring in luck because green is the colour of prosperity

etc...But my experience is that except white crystal which is called

himsphatik in vedic philosophy and rose quartz, most stones do not

necessarily suit all...of course healers can use them all to heal their

patients but they cannot be necessarily used all the time, roundthe

clock, by these people...I request our other knowledgeable members to

share their experiences please..warm regards Aadi

Hi Aadi,

Concerning:

>>But my experience is that except white crystal which is called

himsphatik in vedic philosophy and rose quartz, most stones do not

necessarily suit all<<

I read in the book " The American Indian: Secrets of Crystal Healing " by Luc

Bourgault, that Native Americans also warn of possible harmful effects of

unsuitable crystals, except for clear quartz which is O.K. for everyone.

I personally am attracted to the Vedic system of identifying the effects of

gemstones in relation to a horoscope. For example I have found that I always

find/buy/receive Crysocolla, Malachite, Eilat Stone, Azurite when the sun is in

Taurus. I have corresponded by email with an expert in this subject (Astrology &

Gemology) in India who has done extensive research on this subject. He wrote

that this knowledge has been recorded in ancient Sanscrit manuscripts which have

been destroyed or embezzeled by the invading British armies in the 19th century

and therefore a lot of knowledge on this has got lost. Also many medieval

manuscripts on this subject in Hebrew and Arabic where embezzeled by the

crusaders and inquisitors and aren't accessible today. So we have to research

this subject from ground zero. I recommend using a journal (similar to an

astrological journal) and recording what the exact effects of each crystal are

at different times and then comparing the accounts and

crossreferencing them.

Warmly,

Alisa
