You're right to be suspicious. 95+% of all of the " Citrine " one sees

is not Citrine at all, but rather heat treated Amethyst, as you said.

Natural Citrine looks and feels much different than the heat treated

Amethysts. And asking is good, but sadly many sellers either don't

know (they lack the knowledge) or don't tell (they lack the

integrity). I'd like to believe that most times it's good people that

just don't know any better and will say the stones are natural when

they're not.

Great idea! These spirits deserve a lot of TLC. I think it's best not

to adopt them, but if we have then I feel like they should be treated

tenderly - with care, respect and Love. They've been through a lot

and deserve the added tenderness.
