Guest guest
Greetings and Salutations All, I have browsed the archives a bit, posts from the beginning of the year up to now and have thoughts/personal preferences/experiences I would like to share. Touching others crystals: I am not opposed to folks touching and handling the crystal family that resides with me currently.. in MOST cases. There are exceptions, however. First is when someone does not respect sacred space (i.e. our meditation room). This brings into play good old fashion manners and common courtesy of asking before handling. The crystal family that resides with me is too vast to *hide* crystals I prefer others not handle. Some are personal tools and others are dedicated healing tools. Second is those who do not respect my personal space. It is one thing to ask to see a piece of jewelry more closely. It is a totally different and rude matter to just grab someone's pendant for a closer look. I am a woman with cleavage and many of my pendants hang just above or in it. It is an invasion of personal space to just outright grab someone's pendant away from their body. Some of my pendants I am more then willing to remove for someone to take a closer look and others I do not want people touching (or at least certain energy types). So, the simplest and most polite way to handle and get a closer look at anyone's crystals and jewelry is to ask. Praying Mantis: I have been blessed the past 3 or 4 growing seasons (I live in SW PA-USA) with Praying Mantis in my garden. I have found the egg sacks the past 2 years (Of course I am hoping for another one this year). The messages Praying Mantis is usually giving me are those of Stillness and Patience. A Praying Mantis sits still on a plant waiting for it's food to come to it. It doesn't really go hunting for it's meals. Patience also comes from sitting and waiting and watching. I have had the little babies less then in inch long and still a dull beige scamper across my hand and arm when I am pruning my roses or working with the other plants in my garden. Storing Crystals: This is from my own personal experience. When I first started working with crystal, I found at the flea market someone's shop project of a small long curio shelf with a glass door. The door lifted up and it had 1 shelves inside the little tabletop piece. It made a nice little crystal display/storage case for my then small but growing crystal family. I found it interesting when I would open the case the temperature difference inside the case to the outside room temperature. It the case was noticeably cooler. After a while in the case however, the crystals began to scream at me (as I became better and more attuned to listening/hearing them). What they were screaming was please take the door off, we are suffocating in here. So that is what I did, I took the door off. While I do have some crystal in a large curio cabinet now (some of the more delicate pieces such as needle selenite and halite crystals) they are again talking to me about needing a change of scenery and wanting their turn in the meditation room. SO, that will be a day on a weekend taking care of that migration ... LOL I do not want or need cranky crystals in the house!! Music and Crystals: I love playing music for the crystal family. There have even been times where they have *requested* certain pieces be played for the NOW please!! I love it when I am sitting in the house and things are quiet (possibly too quiet to the crystals way of thinking) and I start hearing music coming from the meditation room. The crystals have decided to *sing* and *hum*. It is quite lovely. Blessings to your work weeks. ReNau
