Intro, Cleansing and Grids

Greetings and Salutations All,

 

Brief Intro:

I have been learning and working with crystals/minerals/stones for about 8

years now. More on a personal level but I have for loved ones done crystal

healing work as well. I have personal favorites - the quartz family especially

smokey and amethyst - and I adore selenite in it's many forms. I am currently a

Level I Reiki healer as well.

 

I already have noticed a familiar name on this list that of Fabeku -

Greetings ;-) it has been a while.

 

After browsing the archives a bit, this is looking like a crystal healing

list I can utilize. Some lists are pretty *dead* with minimal to no postings and

others I have come across are too overwhelming with the amount of emails

(including far too many one-liners such as " I agree with you " ) that bog down the

list and email with little content and information.

 

Crystal Cleansing:

After one bad instance, I prefer not to use salt as a crystal cleansing

agent. I actually had salt pit and *eat into* a smokey quartz crystal if you can

believe that. This was when I was new to crystal work but I was absolutely

shocked given the MOHs hardness of 7 for quartz. My personal favorite cleansing

methods are Selenite and good old fashion " white light " (be it Reiki or some

other form) energy focusing. I like to use Selenite as a long term slower

cleansing method and the " white light " as a *quick fix*.

 

Grids:

When my daughter officially moved out, it gave us an extra room to work with.

Since my hubby and I are Pagan, it was a practical matter to dedicate the

extra room to healing, ritual and mediation. So, we created a mediation room.

(About 2/3 of my crystal family resides in there currently. The rest is spread

out through the house to help distribute not only the energies but also the

weight... lol) The decision to create a mediation room came on the tail end of

me

already creating a copper and crystal-energy grid in the room (it was at that

time our bedroom). What makes this grid unique is it is not on a small board,

it is not easily moveable and it is not on the floor. It is also a decagram

(ten point star - upright and inverted pentagram) in a circle that is 11 feet in

diameter. Copper wire in various gauges was used to create the star and the

circle and pentagon faceted stars (clear quartz, smokey quartz and rose quartz)

that are suspended from copper wire at most of the intersecting points of the

star and circle. The crystals stars are also hung in alternating upright and

inverted fashion. The points of the ceiling star are painted in the elemental

colors (red, yellow, blue, green and white) for both the upright and inverted

pentagrams. If you think of the old world style compass depiction on maps,

this will give you a better visual (idea) of what this grid looks like (only

with

10 points instead of 8). There are also candles suspended from the around the

circle of the grid at the half way mark between each star point.

 

Friends that have spent time in our meditation room have been able to feel a

definite energy shift (for the better of course) when they walk into the room.

Even non-pagan/metaphysical friends have felt a tranquillity and calming

effect when they enter this room.

 

While a 10-point grid may not resonate with everyone and may not fall under

the sacred geometry category, it is a viable gridding method that will work for

some (such as myself). The copper and crystals are awesome working partners

for energy conduction and amplification.

I will have to look on the cds I burned of pictures (before my computer

crashed and I had to reload the whole system) to see if I did manage to save

grid

pictures. If I don't find them saved to CD I do have them posted to another

list, so I would be able to get them from there. I will post to the photos

section within the coming weeks depending on time restraints.
