boji stones / Moqui Balls

hello

 

can someone tell me the difference? i bought boji stones being told

so, another rock store said they are moqui balls. these are clasic

smooth round female and rough male stones.

I have both, and there IS a difference. it's not just that one has

been registered and the other not.

 

Boji stones are marcasite nodules. they are made in the silt of dried

up lakes, not rock. there is an obvious difference in the gender:

female is smooth, male is rough (pyrite crystals). They are much

heavier than moquis.

 

Moqui Marbles are from north america, they are believed to be from the

heart of the earth. females are slightly smoother than males, and the

males have a 'band' around them.
