I'm very interested in knowing the native approach to using crystals. I've read the grandfather Black Elk books and he seems to have a beautiful way with the stone people! I wish he was still here in Colorado... I grew up with that beautiful man within walking distance from me, and I didn't even know who he was until he was so busy that he never came home anymore! I had many, many people with strong connections to him in my life before he died, but I was still unable to meet him personally. One of my best friend's brother is/was his dentist. He used to do ceremony on their land in Woodstock. I also know a drummer who did a lot of drumming with him, and I had his schedule but he was elusive. I would try to get there and then he was gone already! Spiritwalker, please share what you know about this man, the Sioux spirit/relationship with stones and crystals. Did the elders/do the elders use stones/crystals for ceremony? If so, please talk about it, and if you think it's not something to post to the entire list, please write to me personally at victoria2dc and tell me anything you feel free to share. I'd also like to tell you about some research and work I did with a Lakota family about their Black Foot great, great, great grandfather, Chief John Grass. Have you heard of Chief John Grass? I have a very interesting story to about this man... which I won't share with the list because it's pretty off topic! Anyway, welcome and tell us how you work with the stone people. Love and the best of everything to you and your family. Guest guest
Hi and welcome to both of you--Victoria and Timid Spiritwalker. My name is Diane and I'm highly interested in also knowing the native american approach to using crystals and stones. Even though my native american heritage is " distant " up the blood line, their spirit speaks to my soul daily in various ways. I thank each of you and any of you that are reading this for your input. Di__ Victoria Satta <victoria2dc wrote: At 12:35 PM 7/9/05, you wrote: >hi my name is timid spiritwalker Hi and welcome!
