Guest guest
I would consider a heart envelope and conception adjustment. Stimulate /tonify +perhaps a gall bladder moxa ? Back? (governor meridian in head?) kim mc menamin <kimmcmenamin wrote:Thanks for your interest,TOURETTE SYNDROME Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome This is a condition characterised by multiple tics. Tics are involuntary twitch-like movements involving groups of muscles. In this syndrome, tics characteristically involve the facial area (e.g. blinking, grimacing, nodding) as well as phonic (vocal) tics, although any area can be involved. The tics range from very simple to more complex, purposeful movements. Vocal tics can be as simple as throat clearing or coughing. Tics can be suppressed for a short time and so, for example, the condition may appear different at school compared to home. The onset of the symptoms is usually between the ages of 5-11 with a maximum starting age of 21. There is a very wide range of severity so that many people with the condition may never need to seek medical attention whilst others have a socially disabling condition. Common associations of the syndrome are Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or Behaviour (OCD/OCB) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) (see separate entry.) In some cases echolalia (the repetition of phrases, or mimicking of gestures) may be present. A relatively rare feature in more severe cases is coprolalia (the involuntary use of obscene or offensive words) or copropraxia (the involuntary making of obscene gestures.) Symptoms may occur and disappear, increase or decrease in severity, or new symptoms may arise. In some cases remissions occur. It is thought that Tourette Syndrome often decreases in severity around or after adolescence although it can be a lifelong condition. The incidence of the syndrome is three to four times greater in males than females. Inheritance patterns It is thought that in about 90% of cases the condition runs in the family, although other family members may have a mild, barely noticeable disorder. The wide range of features has made it difficult to definitively define the genetic inheritance although the autosomal dominant with incomplete penetrance model has been used. That is, each pregnancy has a 1 in 2 chance of an affected gene with many such cases not manifesting the condition. Environmental factors also play a part with possible interactions with a perinatal insult - for example, a birth trauma such as anoxia (lack of oxygen). This area is being further investigated. Mild cases may not need to be treated. There is no cure but many of the symptoms such as OCD and ADHD can be helped with medication. Pre-natal diagnosis None. Genetic linkage studies are under way and there have been some preliminary results, which may apply to only a proportion of cases/families. There currently is no way of predicting whether a child will be affected and, if so, how severely. Guest guest
Atma Marilette, Namaste, A 45 year-old unmarried male client is presenting Tourette Syndrome, along with symptoms of various Attention Deficit Disorders, anger, depression, low self esteem, minor aches and pains, medium to heavy sweating. The client expresses verbally that the body tics (Tourette Syndrome) are experienced as a surge of energy from within the body, an area which was indicated by the client to be near the Solar Plexus. According to the client the onset is almost like a sneeze, but with far less time to react. The client has been through several self-help and psychological studies and programs, some conducted at Yale University. The self-help programs have helped (in the client's words) " to short-circuit the body tic impulses " by focusing attention away from the body part or area that wants to respond to the tic impulse. The client appears to be fairly well in control and high functioning, is able to drive, and has published a book. The will to overcome the disorders appears strong. Interviews are conducted with ease, and only the slightest moment of the Tourette Syndrome has been observed. Various prescription drugs have been used in the past with limited or no success. The drug, Ritalin (Long Acting), provided the best relief from the Attention Deficit Disorders, but caused periods of short-temper. The client is not taking any drugs now, and is reluctant to try any more. To date Psychological Pranic Healing treatments have been performed four times (twice weekly) for anxiety and depression. The client expresses that " the body tic symptoms are represented almost continually by a feeling of internal pressure. " After the treatments the client expresses that the feeling of internal pressure is near zero. Immediate results have been good, but the duration of relief may only last for 24 hours or so. The sweating seems to have decreased, and minor aches and pains are near zero on a scale from 1 to 10. After experiencing some relief without drugs, the client is willing to continue treatment. One question is would Superbrain Exercise be advised in this situation? The other question is what other treatments might be recommended to help the client? With many thanks, blessings, and deepest respect, gratitude and love for MCKS. larry Saturday, September 15, 2007 ====================================== Dear Larry, Atma namaste. Thank you for your email. Please continue with the treatments you have started with the following modifications: 1. Scanning - Use the divide the chakra into 6 parts technique. - Scan each of the major chakras one section at a time for negative elementals and negative thoughtforms. Bulges or uneveness in affected sections must be swept until the energy is smooth and all the sections of a chakra are clean, balanced and stable. Thorough cleansing is important before energizing. 2. Do the same for different sections of the brain and spine. 3. Teach the patient proper Pranic Breathing(PB). Ask the patient to do 12 cycles of Pranic Breathing before start of treatment, then continue PB during entire treatment. 4. After the healing treatment, rescan all treated chakras, the brain and the spine. Reapply treatment where required. 5. Teach the patient Superbrain Yoga. Ask him to do 21 cycles. Observe and scan during exercise to check if energy surges or becomes imbalanced during exercise. Apply sweeping immediately on any imbalance noted until completely relieved. This exercise facilitates proper energy distribution and refines the energy quality. 6. Play the Meditation on Twin Hearts and ask the patient to follow the guided meditation. This healing meditation is anti-depression and facilitates healing further. Steps 3, 5 and 6 may be done by the patient once daily. Please keep us informed of the patient's healing progress.
