Guest guest
Have you also noticed this more in cold, dry weather? Do you tend to be more blood deficient in the winter? There may be a correlation. Pat I have a question regarding static electricity - you know, when you touch your car for instance when you get out and you get a little electric shock, or when your hair sparkles when you take off a synthetic jumper. I suffer a bit from blood deficiency, and I actually notice that the more blood deficient I am the more I have this static electricity problem. I alo have the impression that women suffer more from this than men. Any comments? greetings, Sofie Sofie, Daniel, Beatrice and Anna McBrearty-Bracke in Antwerp, Belgium sodabean ============================================================================== NOTE: The information in this email is confidential and may be legally privileged. Guest guest
The more blood deficient you are, the less natural oil and other moisture your skin/hair produces. Dryness contributes to this phenomenon, I believe. Obviously, if your hair is wet,you notice this effect is suppressed. My hair is too short now, but when i was younger and had 'fly-away hair', i would just wet it. (Fly-away hair...haven't heard that in a long time!) Guest guest
Hi Pat! This is due to the relative humidity. Try using a humidifier whenever the heat is running. In your home, that is. In the car try wearing natural fibers instead of the plastic ones. You can also use your key to ground your discharge on some metal part - then the spark is at the end of the key and not the end of your finger. But to answer your question, yes I do get it more when the weather is dry and cold - my skin gets drier too, especially on hands and face. I presume I get more blood deficient in winter but I am not sure actually. I need to look at it for a while. Sofie
Guest guest
Hi Sofie, Most people seem to get dryer skin in winter. The idea is that blood retreats from the surface during colder weather, thus leaving the skin relatively deprived of that source of nourishment. Vessels are more constricted, thus allowing less circulation to the sebaceous glands. So any tendency to be blood deficient would simply then be aggravated by the conditions of weather, in this regard. Just curious...do you also feel more achey in winter? ann Chinese Medicine , " Pat Ethridge " <pat.ethridge@c...> wrote: > Have you also noticed this more in cold, dry weather? Guest guest
Dear Marilette, I have just completed my Advanced Pranic Healing course with Patricia Williams in Perth, & am wondering if you know of any way to stop me constantly getting static shocks . It is worse whilst shopping but really happens pretty much all day, every day. The only time I felt relief was after attending the Pranic Healing courses. Any help would be gratefully appreciated, Thank you, Lorna ============================ Dear Lorna, Namaste. Thank you for your email. The good news is your energy is quite strong. The fastest way to prevent unwanted static shocks is - to practic the Meditation on Twin Hearts daily (including the physical exercises before and after the meditation) and - to practice Pranic Healing regularly. When done regularly and properly, these practices refine and balance the energy body. Love, Marilette 1. Pranic Healing is not intended to replace orthodox medicine, but rather to complement it.
