Dear Dr. Hitesh,

Namaste.

Thank you for your email.

Pranic Healing has helped and continues to improve the

lives of countless respiratory patients.

Medical Background:

1. Bronchiectasis (pronounced bron-kee-ek'-tas-is) is

a disorder of the airways within the lungs.

Inflammation and infections cause damage to the

airways. This causes a change in the lining of the

airways. The airways become distorted and enlarged.

Enlargement can be uniform or irregular. Mucus can

collect in the airways. The mucus is difficult to

clear because of the damage to the normal ways the

airways clear the mucus. This can lead to episodes of

infection and then, worsening bronchiectasis. Early

diagnosis and treatment of bronchiectasis and the

infections that occur are very important.

You may be born with bronchiectasis. You may also

acquire it as an adult or child through one or more of

the following ways:

-Inhalation of oral or stomach material into your

lungs. Impaired ability to swallow may also cause

saliva or food to enter the lungs. Severe heartburn

(gastroesophageal reflux disease) occurs when the

valve or sphincter connecting your esophagus and

stomach is too relaxed. This may allow a backward flow

of stomach contents to enter your lungs and irritate

the airways

-Having another chronic lung condition, such as cystic

fibrosis, allergic aspergillosis, tuberculosis, other

mycobacterial diseases such as MAI, whooping cough

(pertussis), an immune deficiency disease or severe or

repeated episodes pneumonia

-Disorders that affect the function of the cilia

(small hairs that line the airways)

-Obstruction in your airways because of a growth or

tumor

-Kartagener's Syndrome. This is a rare inherited

disease. It combines bronchiectasis, loss of ability

to clear mucus and chronic sinusitis.

First, inflammation occurs in the walls of the airways

from any mechanism (listed above). This inflammation

causes injury to the airways. The resulting loss of

the normal defenses in the lungs leads to the loss of

the ability to clear mucus. This makes the airways

susceptible to infections. Repeated lung infections

can worsen the damage to the airway walls.

Symptoms of bronchiectasis include a cough and often

raising mucus from the lungs. With infections the

mucus may be discolored, foul smelling and may contain

blood. Fatigue, weight loss, shortness of breath and

abnormal chest sounds can also occur.

Some people with bronchiectasis also have chronic

sinusitis. This requires further evaluation since

bronchiectasis and sinusitis may be due to other

diseases.

If left untreated, symptoms of bronchiectasis may

progress. Further symptoms may include increasing

shortness of breath, worsening quality of life and

even heart failure.

2. Pulmonary fibrosis is an illness in which the air

sacs of the lungs become inflamed and are gradually

replaced by scar tissue. Pulmonary fibrosis is also

called interstitial lung disease.

The air sacs are called the alveoli. As the disease

worsens, the scar tissue makes it harder to breathe.

It becomes harder for the lungs to get oxygen into the

bloodstream.

It is most common in adults between the ages of 40 and

70.

There are over 100 causes of pulmonary fibrosis. It

may be caused by chronic infection, cancer, or

long-term use of drugs. Examples of drugs that might

cause it are anticancer drugs, hydralazine,

nitrofurantoin, and drugs for rheumatoid arthritis.

Other causes include long-term exposure to asbestos,

beryllium, silica, and coal dust, and sensitivity to

proteins made by animals such as birds and rats.

Pulmonary fibrosis may be hereditary. There are 2 ways

in which this may occur. One is that the condition is

inherited and symptoms show up later in life, usually

in the forties or fifties. Or children may inherit a

tendency to be extra sensitive to the known causes of

pulmonary fibrosis, such as asbestos. Therefore they

may be more likely to develop the condition when they

are exposed to these causes.

When the cause of the fibrosis is not known, it is

called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Some Symptoms:

-shortness of breath

-dry cough

-trouble doing day-to-day activities such as climbing

stairs, walking short distances, dressing, talking on

the phone, and eating

-enlarged (clubbed) fingertips

-a tendency to get infections, especially lung

infections.

Pulmonary fibrosis usually develops slowly, sometimes

over years. The best chance of slowing the progress of

this disease is to seek treatment as soon as possible.

You will need treatment for the rest of your life,

usually from a lung specialist.

How can I take care of myself?

-Take all medicines as prescribed by your health care

provider.

-If you smoke, stop.

-Eat a healthy diet to maintain a normal weight.

-Consider eating smaller, more frequent meals. Many

people find it easier to breathe when their stomach

isn't completely full.

-Try some moderate exercise, such as walking or riding

a stationary bicycle. This helps you maintain strength

and lung function. Talk to your health care provider

before starting a new exercise program.

-Practice breathing exercises.

-Get a flu shot every year to help prevent infection.

-Get a pneumococcal pneumonia shot.

-Join a support group in your community.

Pranic Healing:

1. Invoke and scan before, during and after

treatment.

2. Instruct the patient how to do proper pranic

breathing. Ask patient to do 12 cycles before start of

treatment, continue during treatment.

3. After the patient has done 12 cycles of pranic

breathing properly, apply general sweeping twice.

4. Energize the lungs with LWB for localizing effect.

5. Localized thorough sweeping on the front, sides,

bottom and back of the lungs alternately with LWG and

LWO. Emphasis is on thorough cleansing.

Do not apply O on the patient's head.

6. Energize the lungs directly through the back of

the lungs with LB for localizing effect.

Energize through the back of the lungs with MG then

MO. Simultaneously visualize the diseased abnormal

cells gradually shrinking and until they are

completely dissolved.

Point your fingers away from the patient's head when

energizing.

7. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back

heart chakra. Energize through the back heart chakra

with LWG then with ordinary LWV. Simultaneously

visualize the heart becoming brighter.

8. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back

solar plexus chakra and the liver. Energize the solar

plexus chakra with LWG, LWB then ordinary LWV.

7. Localized sweeping on the front and back spleen

chakra, navel chakra and the lower abdominal area.

Energize the navel with ordinary LWV.

8. Localized thorough sweeping on the arms and legs

with emphasis on their minor chakras. Energize the

minor chakras with LWR or ordinary LWV.

If the patient has fever or venereal disease, just

energize with ordinary LWV.

If ordinary LWV is used, do not apply this step more

than once per day.

9. Localized thorough sweeping on the basic chakra

alternately with LWG and LWO. Energize the basic

chakra with LWR or W.

If the patient has fever or has venereal disease, do

not energize the basic chakra, just apply thorough

sweeping on the basic chakra.

10. Localized thorough sweeping on the kidneys and

the meng mein chakra with LWG.

If the meng mein chakra is still overactivated,

inhibit it with LB to about 1/2 to 2/3 the average

size of the other major chakras.

11. Localized thorough sweeping on the throat chakra,

secondary throat chakra, jaw minor chakras, ajna

chakra, forehead chakra, back head minor chakra and

crown chakra. Energize them with LWG then with

ordinary LWV.

While energizing the ajna chakra, gently but firmly

instruct the chakra to normalize and to harmonize the

other major chakras and organs.

12. Rescan the front, sides and back of the lungs.

If the energy has become diseased or imbalanced,

apply localized thorough sweeping on the front, sides

bottom and back of the lungs.

Energize the lungs directly and thoroughly through the

back of the lungs with LWG, LWO then LWR.

Simutaneously visualize the lungs becoming brighter

and healthy. This may take several minutes.

Point you fingers away from the patient's head when

energizing with O.

14. Rescan. If the energy has become balanced, coat

the back of the lungs with LWB.

15. Rescan the heart chakra. If the heart chakra has

become imbalanced, apply localized thorough sweeping

on the front and back heart chakra. Energize through

the back heart with LWG then with more of ordinary LWV

simultaneously visualize the heart becoming brighter.

16. Stabilize and release projected pranic energy.

17. Repeat treatment 3 times per week.

For patient:

18. Regular physical exercises as prescribed by your

doctor.

19. Regular practice of proper pranic breathing for

12 cycles up to 5 minutes per session, several

sessions per day.

20. Eat healthy nutritionally balanced diet with

plenty of fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. Take

proper amounts of fresh water.

21. No smoking. No alcohol.

Love,

Marilette
