Namaste Dear Marilette,

There is a patient, a 14 year old girl of Arabic

origin diagnosed with Cushing's disease in May 2005.

This was proved by bio-medically, by high cortisol.

Clinically patient has normal blood pressure, moon

face, buffalo hump, acanthosis nigricans and striae

on arms, thighs and abdomen. She also has truncal

obesity.

The MRI report in Oct 2005, reflects 3 mm

non-enhancing round area in pituitary region

suspicious of micro adenoma. Imaging CT adrenal

normal. ACTH dependent Cushing's syndrome secondary to

pituitary

micro adenoma is Cushing's disease.

Another MRI report in Jan 2006 reflects, as under:

Pituitary lesion seen left paracentrally in the

anterior lobe not showing enhancement in the dynamic

contrast studies measuring 5X4X3 mm, representing

pituitary micro adenoma. Pituitary stalk is

centrally located. The optic chiasm and parasellar

region appear

normal.

Doctors who studied MRI report have mixed opinion.

Some doctors have recommended to go for surgical

removal of pituitary micro adenoma. Where as some

doctors are of the opinion that there is no evidence

of pituitary micro adenoma and no surgery is

recommended.

She is on medication, Nirozol 200 mg, Caltrate D,

Actonal 35 mg and there will side effects on liver due

to prolonged use of these medicines.

1) Request for Pranic Healing Protocol.

2) Request fellow Pranic Healers to share experience

and success stories for similar case, to encourage

patient, to take up healing seriously.

Best regards,

Dear Krishnakumar,

Atma namaste.

Thank you for your email.

It is not unusual for persons with prolonged chronic

ailments who have undergone many different diagosis

and treatments to believe that their reality is that

they are their ailment. The first book written by

Master Choa Kok Sui was retitled Miracles Through

Pranic Healing because of the healings of countless

medically dificult ailments. As St. Agustine once

said, " Miracles are not against the laws of nature,

only to that which we know. " This means that as we

gain knowledge, our reality changes. Miracles happen

many times over.

Healing is raising the consciousness. Each time we

learn a higher truth, our consiousness is raised, our

reality changes.

To further facilitate healing, you may want to help

your patient create a positive healthy self image and

by teaching her the Meditation on Twin Hearts. She

may practice this healing meditation once or twice a

week. You may also want to include her among your

your blessings during your meditation.

Medical Background:

Cushing's syndrome is a hormonal disorder caused by

prolonged exposure of the body's tissues to high

levels of the hormone cortisol. Sometimes called

" hypercortisolism, " it is relatively rare and most

commonly affects adults aged 20 to 50. An estimated 10

to 15 of every million people are affected each year.

Symptoms vary, but most people have upper body

obesity, rounded face, increased fat around the neck,

and thinning arms and legs. Children tend to be obese

with slowed growth rates.

Other symptoms appear in the skin, which becomes

fragile and thin. It bruises easily and heals poorly.

Purplish pink stretch marks may appear on the abdomen,

thighs, buttocks, arms and breasts. The bones are

weakened, and routine activities such as bending,

lifting or rising from a chair may lead to backaches,

rib and spinal column fractures.

Most people have severe fatigue, weak muscles, high

blood pressure and high blood sugar. Irritability,

anxiety and depression are common.

Women usually have excess hair growth on their faces,

necks, chests, abdomens, and thighs. Their menstrual

periods may become irregular or stop. Men have

decreased fertility with diminished or absent desire

for sex.

Cushing's syndrome occurs when the body's tissues are

exposed to excessive levels of cortisol for long

periods of time. Many people suffer the symptoms of

Cushing's syndrome because they take glucocorticoid

hormones such as prednisone for asthma, rheumatoid

arthritis, lupus or other inflammatory diseases.

Others develop Cushing's syndrome because of

overproduction of cortisol by the body. Normally, the

production of cortisol follows a precise chain of

events:

-First, the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which is

about the size of a small sugar cube, sends

corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) to the pituitary

gland.

-CRH causes the pituitary to secrete ACTH

(adrenocorticotropin), a hormone that stimulates the

adrenal glands.

-When the adrenals, which are located just above the

kidneys, receive the ACTH, they respond by releasing

cortisol into the bloodstream.

Cortisol performs vital tasks in the body. It helps

maintain blood pressure and cardiovascular function,

reduces the immune system's inflammatory response,

balances the effects of insulin in breaking down sugar

for energy, and regulates the metabolism of proteins,

carbohydrates, and fats.

One of cortisol's most important jobs is to help the

body respond to stress. For this reason, women in

their last 3 months of pregnancy and highly trained

athletes normally have high levels of the hormone.

People suffering from depression, alcoholism,

malnutrition and panic disorders also have increased

cortisol levels.

When the amount of cortisol in the blood is adequate,

the hypothalamus and pituitary release less CRH and

ACTH. This ensures that the amount of cortisol

released by the adrenal glands is precisely balanced

to meet the body's daily needs. However, if something

goes wrong with the adrenals or their regulating

switches in the pituitary gland or the hypothalamus,

cortisol production can go awry.

Pituitary Adenomas - Pituitary adenomas cause most

cases of Cushing's syndrome. They are benign, or

non-cancerous, tumors of the pituitary gland which

secrete increased amounts of ACTH. Most patients have

a single adenoma. This form of the syndrome, known as

" Cushing's disease, " affects women five times more

frequently than men.

Ectopic ACTH Syndrome - Some benign or malignant

(cancerous) tumors that arise outside the pituitary

can produce ACTH. This condition is known as ectopic

ACTH syndrome. Lung tumors cause over 50 percent of

these cases. Men are affected 3 times more frequently

than women. The most common forms of ACTH-producing

tumors are oat cell, or small cell lung cancer, which

accounts for about 25 percent of all lung cancer

cases, and carcinoid tumors. Other less common types

of tumors that can produce ACTH are thymomas,

pancreatic islet cell tumors, and medullary carcinomas

of the thyroid.

Adrenal Tumors - Sometimes, an abnormality of the

adrenal glands, most often an adrenal tumor, causes

Cushing's syndrome. The average age of onset is about

40 years. Most of these cases involve non-cancerous

tumors of adrenal tissue, called adrenal adenomas,

which release excess cortisol into the blood.

Adrenocortical carcinomas, or adrenal cancers, are the

least common cause of Cushing's syndrome. Cancer cells

secrete excess levels of several adrenal cortical

hormones, including cortisol and adrenal androgens.

Adrenocortical carcinomas usually cause very high

hormone levels and rapid development of symptoms.

Familial Cushing's Syndrome - Most cases of Cushing's

syndrome are not inherited. Rarely, however, some

individuals have special causes of Cushing's syndrome

due to an inherited tendency to develop tumors of one

or more endocrine glands. In Primary Pigmented

Micronodular Adrenal Disease, children or young adults

develop small cortisol-producing tumors of the adrenal

glands. In Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type I (MEN

I), hormone secreting tumors of the parathyroid

glands, pancreas and pituitary occur. Cushing's

syndrome in MEN I may be due to pituitary, ectopic or

adrenal tumors.

Pranic Healing:

Sources - Pranic Psychotherapy and Advanced Pranic

Healing by Master Choa Kok Sui.

1. Invoke and scan before, during and after

treatment.

2. Divide the chakra frontally into 4 sections, the

center is the 5th and the root is the 6th section.

Use this technique for scanning and cleansing the

major chakras.

3. Scan the aura (upper, middle and lower) , all the

major chakras and the endocrine glands for negative

elementals and negative thoughtforms. Take note of

the affected sections.

2. Do pranic breathing for 12 cycles before start of

treatment. Continue pranic breathing during

treatment.

3. General sweeping 2 to 3 times using LEV.

4. Localized thorough sweeping using EV on the

pituitary gland minor chakra and the ajna chakra with

emphasis on the affected section(s).

Rescan treated chakras. Reapply localized sweeping

until all sections are smooth and balanced.

Energize the pituitary gland with LWB for localizing

effect. Energize the pituitary gland minor chakra and

the ajna chakra with EV.

While energizing the ajna chakra, gently but firmly

instruct the ajna to normalize and to harmonize the

other chakras and glands.

5. Localized thorough sweeping with EV on the thyroid

gland, the throat chakra and the front and back solar

plexus chakra with emphasis on the affected

section(s). Continue sweeping until all sections are

smooth and balanced.

Energize the thyroid gland minor chakra, throat chakra

and the solar plexus chkara with EV with EV.

If the chakra is underactivated, simultaneously

visualize it becoming brighter and normal.

If the chakra is over activated, inhibit it with LB.

6. Localized thorough sweeping with EV on the

different sections of the brain (front, back, sides,

middle, center and base), the crown chakra, forehead

chakra, back head minor, jaw minor and temple minor

chakras with emphasis on the affected section(s) of

each chakra and brain.

Rescan.

Continue sweeping until all the sections are smooth

and balanced.

Energize with EV.

7. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back

of the lungs. Energize through the back of the lungs

with LWG then with LWO. Point your fingers away from

the patient's head when energizing with O.

8. Localized thorough sweeping on the spine from the

base of the head to the end of the tail bone

alternately with LWG and ordinary LWV.

9. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back

heart chakra chakra and the thymus gland minor chakra

with LEV.

Energize through the back heart chakra with LEV

simultaneously visualize the heart chakra becoming

bigger and brighter.

10. Localized thorough sweeping on the navel chakra

and lower abdominal area with emphasis on the affected

section(s). Energize the navel chakra with LWR.

11. Localized thorough sweeping on the liver minor

chakras, adrenal gland minor chakras, the kidneys and

the front and back spleen chakra.

Energize the liver, kidneys, front and back spleen

with W. Rescan.

If adverse reaction or pain is felt in any part of the

body, immediately apply localized sweeping, sweep also

the spine and on the back head until there is complete

relief.

12. Localized thorough sweeping on the meng mein

chakra and basic chakra alternately with LWG and LWO.

Energize the basic chakra with LWR.

13. Localized thorough sweeping on the arms and legs

and their minor chakras alternately with LWG and LWO.

Energize the minor chakras with LWR.

14. Rescan all treated chakras and glands. Repeat

treatment on any chakra/gland that has reverted to

imbalance until all chakras and glands are smooth and

balanced.

15. Create chakral shields for the ajna chakra,

backhead minor chakra, throat chakra, and solar

plexus chakra. Create an auric shield.

16. Stabilize and release projected pranic energy.

17. Repeat treatment 3 times per week.
