Guest guest
Is there a more specific protocol for Hepatitis C? I have a patient that had Hepatitis C for more than 10 years, and she stopped taking all medication a year ago. Thank you for your reply and precious support. Many blessings, Virginie =============================================================== Dear Virginie, Namaste. Thank you for your email. Medical Background: Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. The liver is usually able to grow back its tissues, but severe hepatitis may lead to permanent damage. Hepatitis C is a type of hepatitis that is transmitted mostly by blood transfusion or cases in which intravenous drug users share needles. The disease progresses to a chronic hepatitis in up to 75% of patients.Chronic hepatitis, though much less common than acute hepatitis, can persist for years, even decades. It is usually quite mild and doesn't produce any symptoms or significant liver damage. In some cases, though, continued inflammation slowly damages the liver, eventually producing cirrhosis and liver failure. Many people with chronic hepatits have no symptoms at all. For those who do, the symptoms are often include a feeling of illness, poor appetite, and fatigue. Sometimes the person also has a low fever and some upper abdominal discomfort.
