Dear Bubble,

Namaste.

Blessings of peace and joy to you and your loved ones.

Medical background:

When blood flow is interrupted to the optic nerve

found in the inner part of the eye, a condition called

ischemic optic neuropathy (ION) can result. Ischemic

means lack of blood flow, and neuropathy means a

disease that affects nerves. Anterior ischemic optic

neuropathy (AION) involves damage to the front portion

of the optic nerve, where many nerve fibers crucial

for vision are concentrated.

The most common form of AION is related to an often

short-term interruption of blood supply from various

causes such as a drop in blood pressure.

Another, less common form of AION also is the most

serious, related to a condition called giant cell

arteritis (GCA) causing inflammation of arteries

primarily in the head and neck. Inflammation and

accompanying swelling in arteries can then slow or

stop blood flow to the optic nerve. Due to the

widespread involvement in GCA, there is a propensity

for the fellow eye to become similarly involved within

days, causing severe bilateral vision loss.

Symptoms and Causes

AION related to arteritis may start as vision loss

that comes and goes. In the arteritic form of the

disease, the patient will usually present with early

signs of anorexia, weight loss, decreased appetite,

joint pain , fever, jaw claudication, scalp tenderness

and malaise.

Vision loss with AION that is non-arteritic can

manifest in different ways, from sporadic to

progressive. Sometimes vision loss occurs in the

morning upon awakening, following a blood pressure

drop during the night.

Non-arteritic AION often is a symptom of other

diseases. The patient generally has significant

systemic disease. As an example, the reference book

Ophthalmology reports that almost half of patients

with this form of AION have been diagnosed with high

blood pressure (hypertension) and about 24% have been

diagnosed with diabetes. Low pressure (hypotension),

migraine, diabetes, atherosclerosis or collagen

vascular disease have also been assoiciated with AION.

Medical Treatments

Steroids usually are used in treatment of arteritic

AION, but have been shown not to benefit the

non-arteritic form of AION. At this time, there does

not appear to be an effective treatment for the

non-arteritic form of AION. There is a chance,

however, that the condition will resolve on its own.

Because AION is similar to stroke, aspirin sometimes

is recommended as a preventive measure to improve

blood flow.

Other Findings

The American Journal of Ophthalmology in 2002 reported

one case of AION that occurred after a man underwent a

15-hour plane flight. Investigators concluded the

sudden vision loss probably could be explained by lack

of movement during the trans-Atlantic flight, leading

to interrupted blood flow, or to low oxygen pressure

aboard the plane that also could interfere with blood

flow.

A woman who underwent liposuction to remove fat cells

experienced AION as a complication (although only one

other similar case has been reported), according to

the September 2004 Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology.

Several reports have been made of patients who

experienced AION following LASIK eye surgery for

vision correction, possibly because of a temporary

increase in eye pressure (intraocular pressure) during

the procedure.

The American Journal of Medicine in June 2002 reported

a case of AION resulting from treatment with an

anti-viral drug (interferon) for chronic hepatitis C.

Birth control pills (oral contraceptives) have been

shown in some cases to create blockages of arteries

within the back inner portion of the eye (retina),

according to Ophthalmology Clinics of North America in

its December 2002 edition.

Disease Management

Pranic Healing:

1. Invoke and scan before, during and after

treatment.

2. Instruct the patient how to do proper abdominal

pranic breathing. Ask him to do 12 cycles before start

of treatment; continue during entire treatment.

3. General sweeping

4. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back

solar plexus chakra and on the liver using LWG and

LWO alternately. Energize the solar plexus with LWG

and LWO. Apply more localized sweeping.

5. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back

heart chakra. Energize through the back heart with

LWG then with more of ordinary LWV simultaneously

visualize the heart chakra becoming bigger.

6. Localized thorough sweeping in the entire head,

both eyes, temple minor chakras and the front and back

of the neck.

7. Localized thorough sweeping on the crown chakra,

ajna chakra, back head minor chakra, and throat

chakra alternately with LWG and ordinary LWV.

Energize the crown and throat chakras with LWG then

with more of ordinary LWV.

Energize the ajna and back head chakras with LWG, then

with more of ordinary LWV then gold, simultaneously

visualize the energy going to the nerves behind the

eyeballs, making the eyes brighter.

8. Localized thorough sweeping on the meng mein

chakra. If the meng mein chakra is sluggish or too

small, energize the meng mein chakra with LWR.

Simultaneously, will the chakra to become bigger,

about 1/2 to 2/3 the size of the other major chakras.

Slightly stabilize it with a little of very LWB to

prevent the LWR to leak out.

9. Localized thorough sweeping on the navel and basic

chakra. Energize them with white.

Stabilize and relase projected energy.

Repeat treatment three times per week.

Instruct the patient how to do proper pranic

breathing. Ask him to practice proper pranic

breathing for 5 minutes several times per day

especially when experiencing stress.

Love,

Marilette
