Guest guest
Dear Liz, Namaste. Thank you for your email. Medical Background: Thrombocytosis is a medical term used to describe a high number of circulating platelets in the blood. Platelets (also called thrombocytes) are small fragments of cells which, following blood vessel injury, stick to the damaged vessel wall and to each other forming a major component of the blood clot. The platelet count in the blood is normally maintained between 150 and 400 million per ml of blood volume. Many factors can influence an individual's platelet count including exercise and racial origin. In thrombocytosis the platelet count is elevated above 400 million per ml and rarely can reach 5000 million per ml. A high platelet count can occur in many different medical situations but the two basic processes involved include either an increased rate of platelet production (by the cells within the bone marrow) or by reduced removal of platelets from the blood - which is one of the functions of the spleen. Most situations that cause thrombocytosis do so by increasing platelet production, whereas reduced platelet removal occurs following surgical removal of the spleen (splenectomy). Causes of thrombocytosis Secondary or reactive thrombocytosis -Infection (acute and chronic) -Inflammatory disorders (eg Kawasaki's disease) -Chronic iron deficiency -Acute or chronic blood loss -Tissue damage from trauma or surgery -Medicines (steroid, vincristine) -Splenectomy and hyposplenism -Malignancy (Hodgkin's disease, solid tumours) -Rebound from chemotherapy -Primary thrombocytosis Essential thrombocytosis (non-familial) -Essential thrombocytosis (familial) -Chronic myeloid leukaemia -Polycythaemia vera -Myelofibrosis -Myelodysplastic syndromes -Arthritis and other chronic inflammations -Exercise -Osteoporosis -Polycythemia vera (a disorder affecting other red blood cells, as well as platelets) -Stress Symptoms: Two of every three patients who have thrombocytosis do not have any symptoms of the disease at the time of diagnosis. Younger patients may remain symptom-free for years. -Enlargement of the spleen is detected in 60% of patients with thrombocytosis. -The liver may also be enlarged. -As many as half of all patients experience bleeding from the skin, gums, or nose; -and 20-50% have some blockage of veins or arteries. Other symptoms of thrombocytosis include: -bloody stools -bruising -dizziness -headache -hemorrhage -prolonged bleeding after having surgery or after having a tooth pulled -redness or tingling of the hands and feet -weakness. -In rare instances, the lymph nodes become enlarged The highest platelet counts usually produce the most severe symptoms. Younger patients (especially women) may not have symptoms, even though their platelet counts are very high. Complications of thrombocytosis include stroke, heart attack, and formation of blood clots in the arms and legs. Pranic Healing: 1. Invoke and scan before, during and aftertreatment. 2. General sweeping twice. 3. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back heart chakra. Energize through the back heart chakra with LWG and ordinary LWV. 4. Localized thorough sweeping on the head, ajna chakra, forehead chakra, crown chakra , back head minor and throat chakras alternately with LWG and ordinary LWV. Energize the chakras with LWG and more of ordinary LWV. 5. Localized thorough sweeping on the front and back solar plexus chakra and on the liver alternately with LWG and LWO. Energize the solar plexus with LWG, LWB and LWO. Apply more localized thorough sweeping on the front and back solar plexus and the liver. If the solar plexus is over activated, inhibit the solar plexus with LB. 6. Localized thorough sweeping on the physical spleen, the front and back spleen chakra alternately with LWG and ordinary LWV. Energize the spleen chakra with LWG, LWB and ordinary LWV. Apply more localized thorough sweeping on the physical spleen, the front and back spleen chakra. NOTE: Step 6 may be repeated 2 more times with CAUTION. 7. Localized thorough sweeping on the front, sides and back lungs alternately with LWG and LWO. Energize through the back of the lungs with LWG, LWO and LWR. Point your fingers away from the patient's head when energizing with O. 8. Localized thorough sweeping on the navel chakra, the small and large intestines. Energize the navel chakra with W. 9. Localized thorough sweeping on the meng mein chakra and the kidneys. Energize the kidneys with W. 10. Localized thorough sweeping on the basic chakra alternately with LWG and LWR. Energize with LWR or LWV. Visualize the energy going into the skeletal system. NOTE: If the patient has venereal disease or fever, do not energize the basic chakra, just apply thorough localized sweeping. If LWV is used, do not repeat this step more than once per day. 10. Localized thorough sweeping alternately with LWG and LWO on the arms and legs with emphasis on their minor chakras. Energize the minor chakras with LWR or ordinary LWV. 11. Localized thorough sweeping on the sex chakra. Energize with W. 12. Stabilize and release projected pranic energy. Repeat treatment three times per week. Supplementary: 1.
