Guest guest
Dear Marilia, Namaste. Symptoms of dermatomyositis are almost identical to those of polymyositis. The diseases differ in that dermatomyositis is accompanied by a skin reaction that is manifested as a rash, commonly seen over the face, chest, and knuckles. The other major difference between the two disorders is that one-third of the cases of dermatomyositis occurring in older individuals is associated with an undiagnosed or a known underlying cancer. Once the diagnosis of dermatomyositis is made, attempt at ruling out the presence of a cancer should be implemented. In contrast to polymyositis, the inflammation in dermatomyositis is usually located in the immediate vicinity of blood vessels (perivascular inflammation). Once the diagnosis of dermatomyositis is made and an underlying cancer has been ruled out, treatment is as in polymyositis. Add localized sweeping on the affected areas and the minor chakras located there. Reading old topics on this list I found something on myositis and that made me very happy. It is something I was looking for and about to post in the list to ask for suggestions. The only thing is that in his case that desease affects also the skin...therefore he cannot get much sun,. etc. I will post what is suggested for polymyositis and if you could help me with what changes or what should be added for the skin case...I would be much glad and thanful. Here is what I found. Bless Marilia Medical Information: Polymyositis is a chronic connective tissue disease characterized by painful inflammation and degeneration of the muscles. This results in disabling muscle weakness and deterioration. The weakness typically occurs in the shoulders and hips but can affect the muscles symmetrically throughout the body. Muscle weakness may start slowly or suddenly and may worsen for weeks or months. Because muscles close to the center of the body are affected most, tasks such as lifting the arms above the shoulders, climbing stairsk, and getting out of a chair can become very difficult. If the neck muscles are affected, even raising the head from a pillow may be impossible. Weakness in the shoulders or hips can confine a person to a wheelchair or bed. Muscle damage in the upper part of the esophagus can cause swallowing difficulties and food regurgitatiion. The muscles of the hands, feet, and face, however, aren't affected. Polymyositis usually doesn't affect internal organs other than the throat and esophagus. However, the lungs may be affected, causing shortness of breath and a cough. Bleeding ulcers in the stomach or intestine may cause bloody or black bowel movements, more commonly in children than in adults. PRANIC HEALING PROCEDURE: 1.
