Guest guest
" Ball, M.R. (Marlene) " <Marlene.Ball Fri Nov 15, 2002 3:31 am Question There is a 36 year old pregnant woman - in her 33rd week of pregnancy - that has a problem with the baby. There is not enough amniotic fluid in the sac to support the growth of the babies's lungs. What is the best prantic treatment for: 1: the mother 2: the baby 3. the problem of not enough amniotic fluid???? Marlene Ball =============================================== Dear Marlene, Namaste. Thank you for your email. Medical Background: Oligohydramnios is the term that refers to a decreased amount of amniotic fluid. It has not been linked to a specific genetic defect, although it accompanies many types of defects. During pregnancy, fluid is produced at the rate of about a cup an hour. Medical research has not uncovered the true cause of oligohydramnios, but the fetus may play a part. Problems in the digestive and or urinary system are often associated with oligohydramnios. The baby's urine is part of the make-up of the fluid, and if a baby is not excreting properly, it is possible that this may be a cause of reduced fluid. In basic terms, amniotic fluid is urine passed by the foetus in the pregnant uterus. Another factor, fetal swallowing, which occurs physiologically, reduces the amount of fluid. The fluid is important because it protects the foetus against physical trauma, allows foetal lungs and heart to develop normally, controls the temperature in the womb, and allows space for foetal movement and growth. Oligohydramnios has also been associated with intrauterine growth restriction and may be detectable on ultrasound before the baby's growth problems actually show up on ultrasound. Occasionally, when there is a longstanding lack of fluid, the inhibition of fetal movement can cause fetal limb defects. If it was an isolated factor, not associated with chromosome problems, the condition will not necessarily repeat itself with a future pregnancy. Oligohydramnios may not show itself until the mid point in the pregnancy. Aside from proper Pranic Healing treatment, it is strongly advised to consult a perinatologist, an obstetrician specializing in high-risk pregnancy, and a genetic counselor. Pranic Healing Treatment: For Mother: 1. Invoke and scan before, during and after treatment. 2. Touch your heart with your left hand, smile and be very gentle during the entire treatment of both mother and child. Do not use your will when healing. 3. General sweeping gently. 4. Localized gentle sweeping on the front and back solar plexus. Energize gently and lightly with white. 5. Localized gentle sweeping on the navel and sex chakras and the surrounding areas, especialy the placenta and uterus lining. Energize lightly and gently the sex and navel chakras. 6. Localized gentle sweeping on the ajna and throat chakras. Lightly and gently energize with white. 7. Localized gentle sweeping on the basic chakra and the entire spine. Lightly and gently energize the basic chakra with white. 8. Stabilize and release projected pranic energy. Repeat treatment as needed. Recommend: 1. Proper healthy balanced diet and regular light physical exercise as recommended by medical doctor. 2. Regular salt bath to assist in the relief of stress energy acquired from daily tasks and prevent the stress from contaminating the developing child. 3. Avoid stresful thoughts, emotions and activities. 4. Deep slow breathing for a few cycles during waking hours. This will promote a feeling of well being and better health. 5. Regular blessing by mother for her child: a. After Pranic Healing treatment for mother, and for for a few minutes at a time each day, mother may sit or lie down in a quiet area where there will be no distractions. Invoke for Divine protection, guidance, and proper healing. b. Smile. Do slow deep breathing for several cycles and continue throughout the whole blessing. c. Smile and lightly touch your heart with one hand. This is to soften the energy. d. Gently and tenderly visualize the unborn child inside your womb smiling, very bright and healthy. e. Smile lovingly and tenderly at the child. Silently introduce yourself and sweetly say words of love and tenderness to the child. f. Silently tell the child how grateful and filled with joy you are at being chosen to be his/her mother. Tell the child how happy and eager you are to seeing him/her developing properly according to term, so happy, so healthy and so strong! That you are here for him/her to nurture and help him/her grow into the best that he/she can be! g. Visualize the child becoming brighter, filled with joy, blissfully and contentedly smiling, and growing properly, and safely in your womb. h. Visualize your womb becoming brighter and providing protection and nourishment for the child. i. Give thanks. j. Repeat this blessing everyday.
