MEDICAL INFORMATION: SHINGLES " Shingles or Herpes Zoster is an infection that produces a severely painful skin eruption of fluid-filled blisters. Shingles is caused by the same herpesvirus that causes chickenpox. The initial infection with varicella-zoster virus, which may be in the form of chickenpox, ends with the virus entering the nerves in the ganglia (a group of nerve cell bodies) of spinal or cranial nerves and remaining latent there. The herpes zoster virus may never cause symptoms again, or it may be reactivated many years later. Sometimes reactivation occurs when the body's immunity is reduced by another disorder or by drugs that impair the immune system. Shingles may occur at any age but is most common after age 50. Some people feel unwell and have chills, a fever, nausea, diarrhea, or difficulties with urination in the 3 or 4 days before shingles develops. Others experience pain or only a tingling sensation or itching in an area of skin. Clusters of small fluid-filled blisters surrounded by a small red area develop. The blisters occupy only a limited area of skin supplied by the affected nerves. The involved area of the body is usually sensitive to any stimulus, and may be severelyb painful. The blisters begin to dry and scab about 5 days after they appear. Until scabbing occurs, the blister contain herpes zoster virus, which can cause chickenpox if transmitted to susceptible persons. Blisters that cover large areas of skin or that persist for more than 2 weeks usually indicate that the immune system isn't functioning properly. " Postherpetic Neuralgia: Pain in areas of skin supplied by the infected nerves is called Postherpetic Neuralgia. This pain may persist for months or years after an episode of shingles. It does not indicate that the virus continues to be actively replicating. The pain may be constant or intermittent, and it may worsen at night of in response to heat or cold. Sometimes the pain is incapacitating. PRANIC HEALING TREATMENT: 1. General sweeping with LWG several times. 2. Sweep the affected part(s) thoroughly. Energize with LWG, LWB, & LWV. 3. Sweep the lungs. Energize the back of the lungs with LWG, LWO & LWV. 4. Sweep the basic thoroughly. Energize it with WHITE or LWR. Do not energize if patient has fever or venereal disease. 5. Sweep the minor chakras of the arms and legs. Energize them with LWR or LWV. If patient has fever or venereal disease, just use LWV. This step (use of LWV) can only be used once in a day. 6. Sweep thoroughly the front and back spleen and the navel chakras. Energize navel with LWV. If spleen is painful, energize it directly with LWG, then LWV. Apply more sweeping on the front and back spleen. 7. Sweep front and back solar plexus and the liver. Energize with LWG, LWB, then LWV. 8. Sweep the throat chakra. Energize with LWG, LWB, then LWV. 9. Sweep the front and back heart. Energize back heart with LWV. 10. Sweep the crown, forehead, ajna, back head chakras. Energize them with LWG then more of LWV. 11. Repeat treatment several times a week. Love and light, masterfe
