WRT face cream and moisturizers. Cant do em they give me the eebie jeebies. If i put a lotion on it has to be before my shower. shrug. The only one that I like is Corn Huskers lotion, though I still have to wash my hands after using it.

But it has been my impression that putting anything on the skin really does nothing except ease any cracking or surface damage. The best way to treat the skin is from the inside. Foods high in Vitamin E Omega 3 polyunsaturated oils and Lots and lots of water. Not tea not coffe not soda but plain old water.

BTW sunscreens only protect you from sun burn not the rays that cause skin cancer. SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. If you normally burn after ten minutes a SPF 15 protects you for fifteen times ten minutes.....or 150 minutes.. But then you get 150 minutes exposure to the cancer causing rays. At a compounding pharmacy theoretically you can get sunscreen formulated specifically for your needs mixed with any carrying agent. I cant do creams or oils so I probably would use a witch hazel type of component.

the change is that many of the companies have switched to nanoparticles. Powder in general could cause problems but nanoparticles makes it that much worse because they are smaller and get in where other particles did not. The part of the show that worried me, is when they said the damage usually doesn't show up for 30 years (yikes!). Nanoparticles are also problems in lotions, such as sunscreens. I read some information in a baby book (I think it was something like baby sage wisdom??) that listed results of testing on child sunscreen and which ones used nanoparticles. The risk is that the chemicals in regular sunscreen couldn't be absorbed into the deep layers of the skin but the smaller nanoparticles DO penetrate. , "Lara Brown" <larabrown wrote:>> Interesting. That works well & doesn't set off my Rosacea but it's only SPF 4
