Guest guest
I have grown it in the past, but it's a huge hassle to keep the cats out of it, lol, so I gave up and buy the little frozen cubes. I just plop one into a glass as I'm juicing and the warm juice melts it easily. Then I just blend it up with the juice. It's really simple to grow at home. I used to be able to get seeds easily, but I don't remember where I found them. The only thing I would caution you to do is make sure you have some good, organic soil to grow them in. I used to do it in pots out in the greenhouse. You probably CAN do it outside in containers, but I would not try to grow too much of it at one time. Small batches planted in succession (I'm assuming you're doing this for juicing purposes) is best to keep it always fresh and at the peak of maturity. You don't want to be juicing yellowing and old leaves. I don't believe it is perennial. Ok, I just googled and found this site. It looks like it has a lot of information: http://www.wheatgrassman.com/ Here is more info: http://chetday.com/wheatgrass.html Good luck, and have fun! Please let us know how it does for you.
