You know what gets me about this? The PTB act like it’s something amazing

for people to go a whole WEEK without spending.

Heck, I’ve gone 2-3 weeks without spending a penny! Sometimes the only time we spend money is

when we put gas in the car for hubby to go to work.

 

BTW, Hi, I’m a newbie to the

group. I joined right before the & ^%$# ice

storm hit and was without power for almost 2 weeks.

Hi Cheryl and welcome! The sad fact is, most people never consider having a spending holiday. Many people are facing these things for the very first time. It's kind of fun challenge. Makes you really think about simplicity and frugality.

You know what I find fun? Trying to find stuff super cheap! I’ve always done that, and have no

problem with it. I’m excited

because I just found an older perfume bottle in a shed on my property. Most people would just throw it

away. I’m going to clean it

out and use it!
