Little Homestead in the City â„¢

Happy new year to you all.

What a year 2008 has been for both our organization and eco conscious folks everywhere.

At LHTC journal we did a brief recap of 2008 happenings and boy there was a slew of engaging challenges and insightful posts to highlight!

We tallied up the harvest ,and though falling short of our 10K goal, we were able to provide enough food to feed ourselves, our animals, sell the surplus and stock up the pantry with hundreds of home canned goods.

In 2009 we kick of the year by attending the Wild & Scenic Film Festival and a featured article in MOTHER EARTH NEWS (Feb-Mar Issue)

PTF is also committed in growing the future and our new venture is Freedom Seeds which will feature safe, secure and pure seeds. Our mission is to keep seeds for the people grown by the people.

We are also excited to see our social network growing by leaps and bounds. Over 2,000 Freedom Gardeners are digging their way to a free and secure food future.

Our organization thanks you all for your moral and monetary support.

Wishing you a bountiful, productive and healthful new year.

Stay tuned for homegrown solutions in 2009

From what we ate last week or converting our garage into a barn to winterizing our garden....

Ponder This "How we take our lives from this world, how we work, what work we do, how well we use the materials we use and what we do with them after we have used them - all these are questions of the highest and gravest religious significance. These questions cannot be answered by thinking, but only by doing. In answering them, we practice, or do not practice, our religion.†- Wendell Berry
