Guest guest
What a great list!!.... for both years. I have made many changes in my household this last year and look forward to making more. My 2008 list 1. Front lawn decreased by 70% and native, drought tolerant beds were put in it's place. Only watered 3x despite 100plus temps and quite a few of the plants are evergreen. I even snuck in several veggie plants and had great success. 2. Got my Square Ft veggie garden beds in place and up and running. I have 12 different veggies growing right now and it's great to have fresh veggies during the winter. 3. Freecycled and freecycled until my family is now threatning to Freecycle me!!! I think half our possessions now reside in some other household. 4. Began buying 50lbs of organic pastured fed beef every 6months from local ranchers. Great meat and at a great discount. We just set aside a set amount of money every month and then purchase in bulk 2009 List 1. Start raising meat chickens with my layers. 2. Start all of my plants (veggie, herb and flowers) from seed. Love the heirlooms. And love Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds! 3. Feed my family of 4 and neighbors off of my 40x30ft garden around the calender. Really want to sell the extra at Farmer's Market. 4. Take a " spending holiday " at least 2x a year. We about to begin this week. We'll see how we do. Happy New Year everyone. Dee
