Guest guest
Hey all! I'm back. We got our power back on last tuesday, so Me and the kids came back Wednesday. I've been raking and burning and raking and bleaching and stacking wood and raking..... Did I mention how much raking I've been doing? Anyway, Ike only did minor damage to the house, but we will have to cut most of our trees down. I can replant with fruit trees, so that's not so bad, just a lot of work! Our carport was destroyed and both houses on either side of us had trees go through them (one of which we own, but it didn't even brake a window!!) Minor damage to the greenhouse and outbuildings and car. All in all, I must say, we were truly blessed. It took us three weeks for lights and water after Rita. Only two weeks this time. The bad part is that my hubby was laid off. Oh, well. God has somethin' better for us anyway! Just wanted you all to know we're okay. I haven't had time to look at old posts, but I'll do it as I have time...and take a break from raking!!! I hope everyone else made it through and is well! I look forward to catchin' up!! Guest guest
Good to hear from you! I hope you get everything back to normal soon. Too bad about your poor trees and carport, that is such a bummer! A real shame about your husband's job-the economy is so bad right now, everyone seems to be suffering. :-( Cyndi In a message dated 9/30/2008 8:21:28 A.M.
