Apparently you're not the only one- a lot of people are having problems with the coupons, and someone is trying to get the 90 day deadline extended. Here is a little info:

Other than that, I like ellen's suggestion.

Get a friend with one tv to apply for two coupons, or someone who gets

cable or has a new digital tv and doesn't need a converter. I get my

mail delivered at a UPS store, having replaced my vandalized mail box

too often. So I was turned down for coupons because it was a place of

business-and the appeal didn't work for me either. A friend got two

and gave one to me.

BTW, my county made the switch to digital only on August 30. A couple

stations don't come in well, but the important one (PBS) comes in

beautfully and that's just with a tv top rabbit ear antenna. The

picture is superb and the PBS station has three channels, one regular,

one with a slightly different schedule and one spanish language. And

the other PBS station has two channels. The second has news from

Russia, Europe, Southeast Asia, Bollywood movie previews, french

movies, italian mystery shows, soccer... all sorts of fun stuff.

Yeah, I'm watching more than I did all summer.

I may put in a wanted for a rooftop antennae on freecycle and see if I

can get my two or three missing stations, but I'm not sure if they're

boosted over the mountains yet and that may be why I'm not getting

them.

yeah, I don't normally like to lie, but when they give us no other option, they're just asking for it aren't they?

Well, I really don't think it's hurting anyone-a victimless crime, as it were, lol. I mean, we just want our converter boxes, for Pete's sake. If they weren't being so stoopid about the coupons to begin with, people wouldn't be forced to do this kind of thing...

Good! I wasn't sure if you could use any of those agencies or not. Glad you found it helpful. Please let us know how you make out.

Not sure if you intended this but you helped me out by giving me some agencies to follow up with! I'm gonna get my letters out to the FCC and the NTIA. (And just in case, find a friend to request a coupon for me!LOL).:) , cyndikrall wrote:>> > Apparently you're not the only one- a lot of people are having problems with > the coupons, and someone is trying to get the 90 day deadline extended.
