Guest guest
http://users.sa.chariot.net.au/~dna/kefirpage.html check out this site ,,,,, he is the groupowner of the kefir group . before i throw the whey out.. i'd throw it on the compost pile !! you can also join this group and read in the past messages , what others did with the kefir / whey ... but they were pretty adamant , that kefir/ whey on compost is really good . i use whey in breadbaking and other things where water is needed and a sour flavor is not too bad . like panvcakes , cornbread etc . the added sourness does come in handy . Guest guest
I do belong to the kefir group, and I've looked at Dom's website many times. Barbara introduced Dom's site to me a couple years ago. isn't it great? I am on no mail for the kefir group-I just visit the homepage and skim thru the messages from time to time. I don't remember anything about kefir and gardening, though. I'll check Dom's site too to see if he has any info about it. I googled for a bit this morning, and I saw a couple references to people using their whey in their gardens. I'm going to add some to water tonight and try it out on my brugmansias, and see what happens, lol. ;-) Cyndi gabriele <gcliburn Sun, 17 Aug 2008 1:36 pm Re: [RFSL] more gardening questions http://users.sa.chariot.net.au/~dna/kefirpage.html check out this site ,,,,, he is the groupowner of the kefir group . before i throw the whey out.. i'd throw it on the compost pile !! you can also join this group and read in the past messages , what others did with the kefir / whey ... but they were pretty adamant , that kefir/ whey on compost is really good . i use whey in breadbaking and other things where water is needed and a sour flavor is not too bad . like panvcakes , cornbread etc . the added sourness does come in handy . Guest guest
It seemed for a while all the emails were "how do i get kefir grains" so i went no mail. Now I need to find out what I missed, lol. I did water in the whey into my flower beds last night. We'll see what happens. ;-) Cyndi gabriele <gcliburn Sun, 17 Aug 2008 7:20 pm Re: [RFSL] more gardening questions see what you missed ??? should get the emails , its not that busy MARANATHA ! gabriele gcliburn (AT) tampabay (DOT) rr.com Get the MapQuest Toolbar.
