China Yard Sale

If any of you live in North Carolina, or know someone that does, let them know about this "China yard sale." I've been on the mailing list for this company, Replacements, LTD. for several years. They sell replacement pieces for old china, tableware, etc. Well, now they are having a "yard sale" to unload a bunch of their excess stock, apparently. $5.00 for a box of china! It's a great deal! I wish i could be there, too. This will be an awesome event!

"Woodstock for Tableware" Yard Sale Is Sept. 20-21 - Don't Forget! Be sure you've marked your calendar for our Replacements, Ltd. Yard Sale (known to many as "Woodstock for Tableware"). We'll be outside in our paved main parking area (no more grassy hill to climb while you're pulling cartloads of china, for those of you who attended previous Yard Sales!), with more than 100,000 pieces of old and new china, silver, crystal, and collectibles at savings you'll find only at, well, a yard sale! Since we haven't had our Yard Sale in the past 4 years, we're loaded with overstock and imperfect inventory we simply must sell. You won't believe the savings! The Yard Sale will run Saturday, September 20, from 7:00am to 7:00pm, through Sunday, September 21, from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Parking attendants will assist you as you arrive, and free shuttle service will be provided from the parking locations to the sale site. RV parking is also available. One important note, our pricing for this year's "Woodstock for Tableware" is very different, and is our most innovative yet. We are not marking individual Yard Sale items with prices; we are selling the yard sale merchandise by the box load! That's right, in addition to a small admission fee for the Yard Sale of $5.00 per person, you will purchase boxes (as many as you want!) from us for $5.00 each. These boxes are about 14 1/2 inches by 13 1/2 inches by 18 inches in size. Fill each $5.00 box as full as you are able with Yard Sale items, and they are yours! Again, there is no limit on the number of boxes purchased for $5.00 each, so bring along a wagon, cart, or dolly to carry your boxes - you'll be scooping up values by the box load, and depending on your purchase(s), our merchandise can be heavy! Also, your purchases will be assisting a great cause. A portion of the proceeds from the Yard Sale will be donated to Children of Vietnam, Winston Salem, NC (with offices in Da Nang, Vietnam), a charity providing direct aid to poor and handicapped children in Vietnam - http://www.childrenofvietnam.org Food and beverages will be available for purchase. We'll be awarding door prizes throughout the 2-day event, and we'll raffle off a beautiful estate china set from our Replacements, Ltd. collection. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the New Garden Friends School, Greensboro, NC, an inclusive, innovative educational community guided by Quaker beliefs and committed to honoring and developing each student's special gifts - http://www.ngfs.org There will be other attractions as well. On the sidewalk in front of our beautiful, 12,000 square-foot Showroom and Museum, we'll be having a Sidewalk Sale, with thousands of Lenox China pieces offered at extra special prices, along with savings on many other patterns in china, silver, crystal, and collectibles. (There is no admission charge for the Sidewalk Sale.) We'll also have fantastic savings offered on select items in our Showroom. As always, free tours of our facilities, Showroom, and Museum (where we'll be displaying a special sterling silver exhibit) will be available, so group tours are welcome. The more the merrier! On our front lawn we'll have other vendors displaying housewares, crafts, and jewelry, as well as china, crystal, and silver. We're also expecting representatives providing information on personal health, education, and animal adoption agencies. (There is also no admission charge for the vendor area.) At our last autumn Yard Sale we had more than 7,500 visitors from 38 different states.
